Characters: Aragorn (Hunter)*, Éomer*, Théoden*, Legolas (Hunter), Gimli (Hunter)
Victory: Short (finish all chosen characters)

The printed card marks Aragorn, Éomer and Théoden with *, meaning the character must be chosen, as in the base rules. The * is printed on the card but its legend is not on the photographed card.
Horses of Rohan (Event H.02)
Horses of Rohan Event
[setup icon] Give Hasufel to Aragorn. Give Firefoot to Éomer. Give Snowmane to Théoden. Give Arod to Legolas or Gimli.
While players have a tucked card, they can swap it at any time with another card from their hand. (You must follow any tucking restrictions.)
You are not allowed to untuck until your goal is complete or your hand is empty.
Horse Cards
Each horse card's printed text follows.
Hasufel (H.03)
[diamond icon] At the end of the round, you must have a card tucked. Its rank must match the number of tricks you have won.
[setup icon] Add the lost card to your hand. Tuck 1 card.
Firefoot (H.04)
[setup icon] You can tuck only Hills or Shadows cards, if able.
Arod (H.05)
[setup icon] You must tuck 1 Forests card (if you are Legolas) or 1 Mountains card (if you are Gimli), if you are able.
Snowmane (H.06)
[setup icon] Tuck a second card. You can tuck only 5s or higher, if able. When you complete your goal or empty your hand, untuck both cards.
Chapter 31½: The Haradrim
Characters: Frodo (Master of the Precious)*, Sam (Friend of Friends), Faramir*, Mablung & Damrod*
Victory: Short (finish all chosen characters)
Tower Event: The Black Gate
[setup icon] 3 players: Add Mûmakil and 5 Haradrim cards to the deck. Deal each player 2 extra cards.
[setup icon] 4 players: Add Mûmakil and 3 Haradrim cards to the deck. Deal each player 1 extra card.
The printed card gives this setup for 3 and 4 players only. It prints no row for 1 or 2 players, so none is transcribed here.
Mablung & Damrod (H.08)
[diamond icon] Win 1 or more tricks. Win only Forests, Shadows, or Haradrim cards (no Hills, Mountains, Rings, Weariness, or Tower cards).
[setup icon] Exchange with Faramir.
Mûmakil (H.09)
When the last card is played into this trick, each player must play another card into the trick. (Play in the same order and still follow suit.) This counts as a single trick.
Haradrim (H.10–H.14)
Five copies of this card are printed, numbered H.10 to H.14. Each reads:
Cannot win a trick. Cannot be led. If you are forced to lead with this card, lose the chapter. If won in the same trick as a Shadows card, lose the chapter.
Transcription Notes
- Icons: The
[setup icon]marks (a hammer) and[diamond icon]marks are shown as printed on the cards. The base rulebook defines the setup icon and the tuck action. The printed diamond's legend is not on the photographed cards. - Asterisks: The
*after a character name is printed on the Chapter 25½ and 31½ cards. The base rulebook uses the same mark to mean the character must be chosen. - Setup rows: The Chapter 31½ card prints setup rows for 3 and 4 players only. No 1- or 2-player setup is printed on the photographed cards, so none is transcribed.
- Not transcribed (not on the photographed cards): Any one-player rule for the Mûmakil, any rule for a trick in which the Mûmakil is the lost card, and any note on using this promo with Road Goes Ever On. Community summaries mention these, but they are not printed on the cards photographed here.
- Flavour and non-rules text: Only the two flavour passages named in the Table of Contents are kept, as intro text. The unnumbered flavour scroll that begins "A great dark-grey horse was brought to Aragorn", the green Eye-of-Sauron card backs (no text), and the trademark and publisher line on the title cards are not transcribed.
