Requirements
The Philitrek sheet requires the base game TREK 12 – Himalaya.
Usage
You may use this special sheet, together with the rule below, in an express ascent or in an expedition during an ascent of "intermediate" level.
To get warmed up: you MUST enter your first result in one of the two START cells, with an up arrow (⇧).
Rule: First Path Bonus
The first* player to have filled in cells that connect the start (⇧) to a cell bearing a flag marks 5 points. The other players cross out this bonus (flag +5 crossed out).
It is not necessary for the filled-in cells to belong to Zones or to Cord Paths (Chemins de Cordes).
* Or "the" first players in case of a tie.
Components Note
The sheet is a single printed page showing:
- Two rows of eight empty cells, each starting from a START cell marked with an up arrow (⇧), with a box at the end of each row for the result.
- Two "+5" flag bonus boxes, each marked with an orange flag, to be used for the First Path Bonus above.
- A minus box with a sad-face symbol, a result box, and a mountain-shaped final box labelled "Altitude : 88 458 Patates" (the printed label of the final score area, kept as printed; "Patates" is the sheet's own unit name).
- A reference table with a horizontal-arrow row (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, then +1) and a smiley row (1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 20, 25, then +5). The sheet does not explain this table in words; it is reproduced here as printed.
- A small table in the top-left corner with the symbols down-arrow (⇩), up-arrow (⇧), minus, plus and times, as printed on the sheet.
Source note: the rules above are a translation of the French printed text on the sheet. The credits line (the names of the designers and the shop) are not transcribed.
