Does the order of play matter when you play several curses?
The rulebook's setup gives the starting card, and players agree the rest is open.

Not really. You start on the Adventure card of the lowest-numbered Clue card you chose, but the whole continent is open, and when one curse is lifted you simply carry on toward the others; each ending tells you if you must continue.
