A 7 on a revealed card is worth nothing by itself. Each 7 revealed in the Result step is worth one success for each active 7-star effect from your items, skills or bonuses, so two such effects make every 7 worth two. With no 7 revealed, a 7-star adds nothing, and the left-strip icons count only when the card is revealed in the Result step.
