Transcription notes

These notes disclose where the photographs did not allow a clean reading, and every judgment call made while translating. The printed card text above is complete except as stated here.

  • Source type. No text rulebook exists for this promo set. The text above was read from photographs of the printed cards and translated into English. The English card names are taken from the FryxGames product page, which lists the 12 event cards and 5 corporations.
  • Research Grant. The Polish, French and Hungarian photographs of this card are each cut off or covered by another card, so its effect text is not transcribed. The cost, the empty tag slots and the icon box are given as far as they can be read.
  • Martian Studies Scholarship and Innovative Technologies Award. These two cards are the 11-cost and 16-cost red cards. Their effect lines are read from the Spanish and French prints. Their symbols are given by shape, and the Roman numeral and the red down-arrow symbol are not interpreted.
  • Innovative Technologies Award, "upgraded". The French print reads "for each upgraded phase card you have." The Polish print's visible text reads "for each phase card you have." The word "upgraded" is not visible in the Polish photograph, which is cut off at that point, so the English keeps the French wording. This is a judgment call, and a reader who has the physical card should confirm it.
  • Gas-Cooled Reactors, temperature step. The Polish print says the action raises the temperature by 2°C. The French print says "1 level." The English gives the Polish figure and names it as one step, since one step is 2°C in this game.
  • "Tag" in the Polish print. The Polish prints of Community Afforestation and City Council use the word tytuł (title) for the symbol that the Polish Modpro and Next Step cards call symbol and the French prints call badge. This transcription reads it as tag, which matches the rest of the set.
  • Next Step Initiative, crisis mode. The Spanish print says "only used if you play in crisis mode." The Polish print says "only used with the Crisis expansion (Kryzys)." Both are given here as crisis mode.
  • Next Step Initiative, detriment tile. The Spanish print calls the token a detriment tile (loseta de detrimento). The Polish print calls it a hindrance token (żeton utrudnienia). The English uses detriment tile.
  • Icons named by shape. Symbols are given as the name of the tag or resource they match: the yellow-green disc is a microbe tag, the globe an earth tag, the green leaf a plant tag, the green paw an animal tag, the brown rectangle a building tag, and the purple lightning bolt a power tag. Where a symbol could not be identified with confidence it is described in brackets as printed. The icon boxes below the text are given as printed rather than explained, because the photographs do not show them clearly enough to read their full meaning.
  • Roman numerals. The Roman numeral above some icon boxes is given as printed where it can be read. Those that cannot be read are omitted.
  • Empty symbol slots. The blue or green circles stacked down the top of each card are empty tag slots. They are not transcribed as tags.
  • Corporation symbols. The "?" symbol on Austellar and Modpro is given as printed. The plain grey disc on Nebu Labs carries no symbol.
  • Bacterial Aggregates and Nebu Labs. These two cards' effect text is read from the official English box render, and the rest of their text from the Spanish and Hungarian prints. Both English and foreign readings agree.
