Can Cultists get King of Kings, and does it do anything for them?
Two sources agree, but the designer only says Cultists do not care about the crown.

Yes. Cultists do not care about being crowned King of Kings; if they are late in their ceremony (neither Barbarian nor Empire), it only serves to trigger the end of the game for them.
