Teleport
Ability card (front). Printed title: "Teleport", on a parchment banner at the top. The card art shows a blue spiral vortex over a dark, broken stone background. The card's type banner at the bottom reads "ABILITY". A Roosan the Chicken Champion figure is printed in the lower right corner.
Ability
The ability is printed as a single icon, and it is a shot icon:
- Teleport shot (a black keyhole-shaped disc with a shaft ending in an arrowhead, pointing right into a dashed circle)
Notes on the icon
- Teleport. The base rulebook lists "Teleport" among the Other Effects: "Teleport — Place piece on Teleported! card. Next turn, perform a melee shot from any edge of the playmat." The Teleport Shots section adds that the teleported character's piece is removed from the playmat and placed on the Teleported! card, and that the character comes back into play on its next turn. The keyhole-and-arrow icon is read as this Teleport effect. This is a judgment call: the base rulebook does not print this glyph, and the reading rests on the card's title and on the arrow pointing into the dashed circle.
- Piece and destination. The black keyhole disc is read as the teleporting character's piece on the playmat, and the arrow as the shot that sends it away. The dashed circle is read as the Teleported! card, the off-playmat destination. This reading of the disc and the circle is also a judgment call, drawn from the base rulebook's description of the Teleported! card and not from any printed key.
- Hero. The card face names no hero. The chicken figure in the lower right corner, and the catalogue's description of the card as Roosan's Teleport ability, identify the hero as Roosan the Chicken Champion (see the base rulebook's hero list). The card face itself does not name the hero. The hero attribution is from the card art and the catalogue, not from printed rule text.
- Card type. The card is an Ability card. Ability card rules, including the once-per-Battle-Phase use and refreshing in the Setup Phase of the next room, are in the base rulebook under "Ability cards" and are not repeated here.
- Teleported characters. The base rulebook's Teleport Shots rules apply in full: no combat occurs between characters on the Teleported! card, a teleported character cannot be damaged or killed while on it, and Antients cannot be teleported.
Scan note: the card scan is 680x1006 (the full-size BGG image 3064002). The icon is legible at that size. Only the icon is transcribed; no other text appears on the card face beyond the title and "ABILITY".
