Carcassonne: Little Buildings
Carcassonne: Little Buildings Rulebook
Table of Contents
Material
18 building tiles: 6 houses, 6 towers and 6 sheds.
Setup
Distribute the 18 buildings evenly among all players. With four or five players, return the leftover buildings to the box.
Rules
All three building types are equivalent.
When it is a player's turn, he carries out his normal turn. If he cannot or does not want to place a follower on the land tile he has just placed, he may instead place a building on it. He places it on the tile so that as little information as possible on the tile is covered. The building is not assigned to any feature or meadow on the tile; it always applies to the whole land tile.
When a road, a city, a cloister or a meadow is scored, every building on a land tile belonging to that feature or meadow scores 1 point extra. These points are added after all other points are counted. When scoring a cloister, the buildings on neighbouring tiles (in the "cloister area") also count.
A building stays on the land tile it was placed on until the end of the game and can score points for several features and meadows. Building points are also awarded during final scoring.
This mini-expansion was developed mainly for the Carcassonne base game.
Variant
The building types have different values:
- Towers: +3 points
- Houses: +2 points
- Sheds: +1 point
When distributing the buildings, make sure each player receives the same number of each building type.
Example
Red places a tile (with the red border) and places a shed on it. With this, Red completes the city in the upper right and a road.
Red scores 7 points for the road (5 tiles and 2 buildings).
Red scores 10 points for the city (3 city sections, 1 coat of arms at 2 points, and 2 buildings).
For Black's meadow, 3 buildings currently count toward it. For Blue's cloister, 2 buildings currently count toward it.
