Usage

The Ambabari Elephant is a level 3 Notable. Put it in the pile of Notables, shuffle it before the game, and place it randomly. Alternatively, you may decide to play with the Elephant anyhow.

Card Text

The back of the card is labelled "Ambabari" and marked with the level III symbol and the number 25. It shows two icon effects, one above the other:

  • First effect: "1x" (once), then an arrow with the Merchant figure, with the range "1-6". Move the Merchant 1 to 6 steps.
  • Second effect: the Merchant figure with an arrow passing a Worker figure, followed by a colon and a 1 Rupee coin. Each time the Merchant passes one of your Workers, you receive 1 Rupee.

The front of the card repeats the same two effects at its lower part, and its upper part shows three goods icons and the Elephant artwork. The card does not state what those three goods icons mean, and no other text in the card scan or the BGG item page explains them, so they are not transcribed here as rules.

Rules

Immediately move the Merchant 1 to 6 steps of your choice. Every time the Merchant passes by one of your Workers you receive 1 Rupee. It doesn't matter if your Worker has meditated or is still standing upright. You do not receive a Rupee for the space the Merchant ends or starts on, even if this space is occupied by your Worker.

Example: The Merchant moves 5 steps, of these 5 steps he passes through 3 of your own workers. You will receive 3 Rupees.
