Preparation
Place the enclosure showing the gorilla in the middle of the table, picture side up.
Playing the Game
The rules of the basic game remain in force, supplemented by the following.
The first player to fill their 6-space enclosure receives the gorilla. (If you are playing with the Gorilla and Polar Bear expansions together, the first player may choose between them, and the second player receives the other one.) Take it from the middle of the table and place it below your zoo, near the barn. The enclosure showing the gorilla remains with that player until the end of the game. A player may not place any tiles on the gorilla enclosure.
Once during the rest of the game, a player may place a drawn tile (including a coin tile) directly into their zoo (an enclosure or the barn), instead of placing it on the delivery truck. To indicate this action, the player must place one coin from their own personal supply on the gorilla enclosure. This action may be carried out only once during the game. This one coin stays on the gorilla enclosure until the end of the game and does not take part in scoring.
