Setup
Place the Christmas tree enclosure face-up in the middle of the table.
Playing the Game
Use the original Zooloretto rules, with the following exceptions.
Taking the Christmas Tree Enclosure
The first player who fills his 6-space enclosure takes the enclosure with the Christmas tree as a bonus.* He takes it from the middle of the table and places it below his zoo board, near his barn. It remains with this player until the end of the game.
The player may place no tiles in the Christmas tree enclosure.
Drawing Three Tiles
Once, during the rest of the game, the player may draw 3 tiles from any stack except the one covered by the wooden disc. He may place one of the tiles (even a coin tile) directly in his zoo (enclosure or barn). He returns all tiles he didn't keep to the stack and shuffles it.
To mark this action, he puts one of his coins on the Christmas tree enclosure. The coin remains there until the end of the game. It is not involved in scoring.
Combining with Other Enclosure Expansions
* If Christmas tree is played with Grizzly, Polar Bear, and/or other similar expansions, the players filling their 6-space enclosures may select these enclosures in any order they want.
