Setup

Before the first game, cut out the Gorge Blocker (Sperr-Marker) from the upper section of the card, fold it in the middle and glue it together.

Note: the printed text reads "im oberen unteren Abschnitt der Karte". The cut-out strip with the folding diagrams is the top section of the card.

Place the Temple dedicated to Dian Mu next to the game board.

The Dian Mu Temple

The Temple offers an additional way to place Traders in the Auction phase. Unlike the other buildings, here you can also be outbid on the "9" and "12" spaces.

The Gorge Blocker

Whoever acquires a progress here takes the Gorge Blocker and immediately places it over any ravine on the game board. That ravine is then blocked in the Travel phase. Any Bridges over a blocked ravine may not be used. Likewise, no new Bridges may be built over a blocked ravine.

Because of this, additional transportation costs may arise under "2d) Determine income". The Gorge Blocker is removed again at the end of the round.
