The Goal

Earn points by answering trivia questions, making correct predictions and betting on other players. The winner is the player with the most points at the end of the game.

Setup

  1. Place the Game Board in the centre of the table.
  2. Each player chooses a colour and takes the Answer Board, Betting Chips and pen of that colour. You'll find it easier to pick the colour of the Game Board segment closest to you.
  3. Each player places their coloured Player Token in the starting area of the score track.
  4. Determine the first Question Asker. This can be a non-player who remains Question Asker for the entire game. Otherwise, it is the oldest player.
  5. Give the First Bet Token to the player to the left of the Question Asker.
  6. Keep the Question Cards, Card Sleeve and Bonus Chips nearby.

Round Structure

The game is made of rounds. You can play as many rounds as you like but three to four is recommended. Each round is made of the Question Phase, the Betting Phase and the Scoring Phase.

The Question Phase

  1. The Question Asker takes a Question Card from the stack and places it in the Card Sleeve without looking at the back.
  2. The Question Asker reads the five questions on the card aloud one by one. All players secretly write their ANSWERS and PREDICTIONS on their Answer Boards.
    • ANSWER the question.
    • PREDICT how many players you think got the correct answer.
    • Example: Anna thinks the answer is 'Radish' and that 4 of the 6 people playing would know that.
    • PREDICTIONS include yourself and can be any number between 0 and 6.

The Betting Phase

  1. After all questions have been answered, it's time to bet! The Question Asker reads out the first question on the Question Card again.
  2. Starting with the player who has the First Bet Token and moving clockwise, each player takes ONE of the following three actions:
    • Bet that another player got this question right. Take the You Know It! Betting Chip and place it on the board in that player's slot.
    • Bet that another player got this question wrong. Take the You Don't Know It! Betting Chip and place it in that player's slot.
    • Choose to pass this time. If both Betting Chips have been played this round, the player must pass.
    • Only ONE chip can be placed in each player's slot per question. You cannot bet on yourself.
  3. Starting again from the player with the First Bet Token, each player in turn says their PREDICTION number aloud, without revealing their ANSWER.
  4. In the same order, all players in turn then say their ANSWER aloud.
  5. The Question Asker partially slides the Question Card from the Card Sleeve, revealing the first answer, and reads it aloud.
  6. Players mark a TICK in the box next to a correct answer and a correct prediction. Otherwise they leave the box blank.
    • Example: The answer was actually 'Parsnip', but it turns out 4 players did in fact get the answer right. Anna got the answer wrong but she still receives one TICK for predicting correctly!
  7. If a player used a You Know It! or a You Don't Know It! Betting Chip, one of the following two things happens:
    • If your bet was RIGHT: You get your chip back. Flip it to its +1 side. That's one extra point for you at the end of the round.

The Scoring Phase

  1. After all the answers for a round have been revealed, each player calculates their score.
  2. Players receive one point for each TICK on their Answer Board, and one point for each +1 Betting Chip in front of them.
  3. Each player moves their Player Token along the scoring track one space for each point received this round.
  4. If there is another round and a player is in last place, they get the two Bonus Chips. Next round they will have two more chances to bet!
    • If two or more players are tied for last place, no one receives bonus chips.
    • Example: Anna has 5 ticks on her Answer Board, and 3 +1 Betting Chips in front of her. Anna scores 8 points for this round!
  5. If there is another round, the next player clockwise becomes the Question Asker.

Endgame

  1. At the end of the last round of the game, the player farthest along the scoring track is the winner. Congratulations!
  2. If two or more players are tied for first place, assign a separate player to ask a tie-breaker question from a different Question Card.
  3. The tied players ANSWER the question and PREDICT how many of them will answer correctly. Betting chips are not used for the tie-breaker.
  4. The answer is revealed and whoever earns the most points is the winner!
  5. If two or more of the tied players receive the same points, keep asking questions until only one player is the winner!
  • If your bet was WRONG: The player you bet on KEEPS your chip. That's one extra point for THEM at the end of the round.
  • The First Bet Token then moves to the next clockwise player.
  • Repeat this phase for the remaining questions on the Question Card.
