Does the extra Laboratory cost start with the 4th or the 5th technology card?
Players relaying a designer answer say 4th, but the rulebook text says 5th and one poster disagrees; no official post is in the thread.
Probably the 4th. The rulebook text here says the 5th and later cards cost an extra 2 Yen or 1 Import, but several players report the designer confirmed the extra cost starts with the 4th (the older TMG rules say so), and one player reads the tile as meaning the 5th. Check which rulebook your copy has, and agree on it before play.
