Setup

Assemble the Wobble game board and place the game on a flat surface. Each player chooses one side of the board and places 4 playing pieces of different colours in the holes on their side of the board. All corners have different colours. The players must try to get the ball down into the four holes in the same order as their pieces, from left to right. Place the markers and pins beside the board and the ball in the middle.

Winning Wobble

The player who first gets the ball into the four holes in the correct order wins Wobble!

Turn Sequence

The youngest player begins and play proceeds clockwise. Roll the die when it is your turn. Place or remove game markers. The number on the die determines how many markers you may use in total.

Example: If you roll a 1, you may take 1 marker and place it on the edge of the board, or remove 1 marker from the edge. You decide which. If you roll a 5, you may place 2 markers and remove 3, or place 5 markers, or place 4 and remove 1, and so on, as long as the total comes to 5 markers. Placing and removing markers makes the ball roll, so try to get it into the right hole! You can get the ball into several holes during your turn. Your turn is over when you have used the total number of markers.

How to Play with the Markers

  1. Place the markers on the edge of the board. You can place them side by side or on top of each other. Note: it is up to you how you place the markers, carefully or forcefully, one at a time or all at once, but your fingers may never touch the board.

  2. Remove the markers from the edge of the board with one of the pins, not with your fingers! A marker that rolls off the board may not be put back.

The Ball Starts Rolling

  1. If the ball rolls into a hole that matches the colour of your playing piece furthest to the left, you take that piece off the row and put the ball back in the middle. You may immediately continue playing your turn if it is not yet over, i.e. if you have not used all the markers.

  2. If the ball rolls into a hole of the wrong colour, your turn is over and the ball is placed back in the middle. The turn passes to the next player.

  3. If the ball has not landed in any hole during your turn, the ball stays where it is and the turn passes to the next player. The next player may only begin their turn once the ball has come to a complete stop.

Tip 1: Try to place your markers while the board is wobbling. This strengthens the fun balancing moment!

Variation: Wobble Expert

The Wobble pieces are now included in the game. The rules are the same, but: if you roll a 1, you take one marker and a Wobble piece. You may only take a Wobble piece if you roll a 1, never otherwise. This extra, heavy piece you can use either immediately or save for a later turn. A Wobble piece is used in the same way as a marker. You may only have one Wobble piece.

Tip 2: Never take the board apart once you have assembled it!

Tip 3: Store all game parts in the storage bag.
