• 1 game board
• 1 King Leo wooden figure
• 18 silver nuggets
• 1 wooden stick
• 5 tomato tiles
• 1 set of instructions

Preparation

Place the silver nuggets slightly spread out in the middle of the table. Then place the game board on top of the nuggets in such a way that no silver nuggets can be seen from above. Place the lion figure in the middle of the game board on the marked space on the cushion. Keep the wooden stick and the tomato tiles handy.

How to Play

Play in a clockwise direction. The player who has most recently seen a real lion begins.

Take the wooden stick and slide it carefully under the game board. Using the wooden stick, try to completely retrieve at least one silver nugget from under the game board. You may also retrieve several nuggets.

Important: While doing so, you must not look under the game board! It doesn't matter if the game board moves some while retrieving the nuggets.

You must then place the silver nugget(s) carefully, using your fingers, on the round spaces at the edge of the game board. Only one silver nugget may be on each space. You then pass the wooden stick on to the next player whose turn it is.

End of the Round

A round can be ended for a player in two ways:

• The game board tilts so that at least one edge touches the table and/or the lion tips over.
  • Oh no, King Leo got wind of your burglary and alerted his guards. A rotten tomato is thrown at the player who caused the board to tilt. The player takes a tomato tile from the stockpile and places it in front of them.
• A silver nugget is on every space at the edge of the game board.
  • Have you really managed to acquire all the silver nuggets undetected? Great job! No one receives a rotten tomato.

Now a new round begins. All of the silver nuggets are spread out again under the game board as described above, and the lion figure is again placed on top of the game board. The player who caused the tilting gets to begin the new round.

End of the Game

The game ends as soon as a player has received a second tomato tile. This player has been caught once too often and will be thrown out of the castle by the king's guards.

The other players have won together and successfully mastered the test of courage.
