Equipment

Equipment consists of a colorful folding board showing scenes from WINNIE-THE-POOH books, four playing pieces representing principal characters, a WINNIE-THE-POOH Grab Bag and an assortment of colored discs.

Preparation

Each player selects a playing piece to represent him during the game. Discs are placed in the Grab Bag and shaken vigorously to make sure they are well mixed. A player is selected to go first.

The Play

The first player reaches into the Grab Bag and, without looking, draws out one colored disc. He moves his piece from the Start along the track to the first square which matches the color of the disc which he has drawn. The player to his left then draws a disc and moves his piece in the same fashion and other players follow in turn.

No two pieces may rest on the same space at the same time. If the next space ahead, which matches the color of the disc drawn, is already occupied, the player continues forward to the next unoccupied space of that same color.

Special Spaces

Whenever a player lands on a space marked with Special Instructions, he follows those instructions immediately. For example, a player landing on the Yellow space marked "Cross Bridge to Green," immediately places his piece on the Green square at the opposite end of the bridge. If that space is occupied, he moves forward to the next unoccupied Green space.

Certain spaces contain instructions for particular players only and do not affect those pieces which are not listed. For example, if Christopher or Pooh lands on the space marked "Go to Yellow," he immediately advances to the next Yellow space. Piglet and Rabbit, however, would not move forward.

Any player landing on either the Blue square or the Red square marked "Go to Pooh's Party" takes his piece off the track and places it on the picture of the Party. On his next turn, he moves forward from the Red square to the next square of the color that he draws.

A player who lands on the Orange square marked "Sit on Bench" or who is sent back from the Trap for Heffalumps moves his piece off the track until his next turn. This leaves the space free for other players and more than one piece may sit on the bench at the same time. On his next play, he moves forward from the Orange square in the usual manner.

Object of the Game

The object of the game is to be the first player to reach the North Pole. When a player nears the end of the game, he may find that he cannot move forward to a space of the color which he has drawn. In this case, he does not move and forfeits his turn. The first player who succeeds in landing on either the Red space or the Blue space directly under the North Pole sign wins the game.
