Can I play 3 or more players with Wingspan Asia plus Oceania or Europe, but without the base game?
The publisher answered this in 2022; later replies that call a 3-player setup possible describe improvisation, not an official mode.

Not as the publisher intends. The publisher's answer is that Asia plus Oceania lacks the player cubes, the 2-5 player goal board and enough food and eggs, and Asia's goal tiles only work with the 2-player Duet map, so more players need the base game. Some players report improvising it (Flock goal board, extra cubes and tokens, Oceania mats) with less goal and bonus-card variety. Later forum replies call that 'possible', which is a house workaround rather than an official setup.
