Basic Rules
Sit at a table with 2 or more friends. If you don't have friends, sign up at a fitness room. It's a great way to meet people. If you still manage to convince a few people, you can start: shuffle the big deck of Text cards. Text cards are cards with text written on them, hence their name. Each player gets 7.
The player who has the most followers on Instagram starts the game and becomes the first judge. Exception: if they bought their followers, or always use 100 hashtags per post, they are removed from their judge duties and must buy the round. The player seated to their right takes their place.
The judge looks at all the Image cards and chooses 1 for this round. They show it to all players and place it on the great little easel in front of them, in view of everyone. Each of the other players must then select the Text card that best matches the chosen image from among the 7 in hand. Once everyone has made their choice, each player hands their card, face down, to the judge (so that no opponent can see the text, hence "face down". OK?). As soon as the judge has collected the Text card of every player, they shuffle them energetically, read them aloud, and place them in front of them, face up. The Image card must remain visible while the judge reads the text of the cards. Why? Simply because it is much more fun.
The judge is so called because they award the points and judge which text is the most suitable / funny / off-the-wall in relation to the image. The player who played this Text card wins the round and gets the Image card.
After the winner of this round has congratulated themselves, play resumes. All players discard their Text cards and draw 7 new ones. The player seated to the left of the judge becomes the new judge, chooses an image, shows it to everyone, places it on the great little easel in front of them, and waits for the others to give them a Text card...
The game ends either because you are hungry (in which case the best option is to order a large pizza), or as soon as a player reaches 20 points. The player who has the most Image cards (and therefore the most points) obviously has a sick sense of humour and wins the game.
At the end of the game, 1 Image card = 1 point.
Additional Rules
If someone has a Freestyle card, they must play it immediately, face up. All the other players discard their 7 Text cards and must invent their own text for this round. If you are all too shy to read your nonsense in front of everyone, you can write your text, slip it to the judge, all embarrassed. If you are brave enough or drunk enough, or both, you can read your text aloud in turn.
If a player has no luck and all of their Text cards are rotten, they can exchange an Image card already won for 7 new Text cards.
Small variant: we invite you to use your own photos. You can't imagine how much fun it is to make "Memes" on the backs of good friends.
18+: A short note for the sensitive souls among you: the really nasty cards are marked "18+". You can sort them out before the start of the game and put them back in the box.
