Must the 8 1/2 card go between an 8 and a 9, and can it be used in Adventures #5 and #8?
No, it is treated as a normal number that fits anywhere between a lower and a higher number. In Adventure #8 it works with the 7-8-9 planet. It is neither odd nor even, so it can't build a dome section with a Robot in Adventure #5.
