Can lasers and maneuvers stun a mothership section even if it can't be defeated with them?
The publisher confirmed this for The Dread and the rulebook describes the stun rule.

Yes — by default any target can be stunned by lasers or maneuvers, whatever its defeat stat. The tokens stay on the section until it is defeated or the warp ends. The Dread and the Revenant's true form resist lasers, and the Hydra's energy section cannot be stunned by energy.
