Where can I place Photon Blast or Overdrive, and can they go next to an empty slot?
The publisher ruled in 2020-2021 that the token is never dead.

Between two adjacent targets, counting as two lasers (Photon Blast) or one maneuver (Overdrive) against each. If only one neighbor exists, you may still place it between the target and an empty slot, and it then applies to that single target. It cannot span an empty gap, but you may also stack tokens and put other tokens directly on the same targets.
