1. Shopping Phase
-
Pick 1 Top Menu Card from Menu Cards Deck and place next to the right of the menu cards deck facing up. Repeat every time starting shopping phase. Move to the right and maximum 6 menu cards.
IMPORTANT! If opened menu cards are more than 6 or deck of menu cards runs out, the far right menu card will be discarded from the game and may not be "cooked" or claimed by the player.
-
Deal cards from grocery cards deck (green background) until each player gets 6 grocery cards.
-
Each player picks 1 grocery card and keep it before each player facing down, and pass the rest to the player on his left then pick a new grocery card from the player on his right.
-
From the card received, the player picks 1 grocery card again and place such grocery card on the top of previous selected grocery card facing down.
-
Repeat the step above until there is no remaining grocery card.
-
After finish, each player owns 6 selected grocery cards in the shopping phase before him. Grab them and take a look.
Select (shopping) 1 of 6 Grocery Cards then place the selected Grocery Card facing down. Pass the remaining Grocery Cards to the player on the left. He will receive Grocery Card from the player on his right. Repeat this shopping phase until all Grocery Cards run out.
IMPORTANT! During the shopping, do not peek the groceries stacked before the player.
2. Cooking Phase
-
Started with the first player to cook (claim) Opened Menu Card by matching owned grocery card with groceries required by such menu card. Example: To be able to cook "Lontong Balap" Menu Card (4 points), the player must own "beras", "tahu", and "petis" grocery cards. If he owns supplement of grocery card such as "Sambal" and/ or "Kerupuk", he may add it to gain extra points.
The sheet's example shows Beras + Tahu + Petis making the Lontong Balap menu card, labelled "1 point", and Lontong Balap combined with a Sambal Terasi supplement, labelled "5 point".
-
The player who is successful to cook according to menu card will take such menu card and remove used grocery cards. Then the player get 1 customer card from the customer cards deck (black background).
-
Every time (1) menu card is taken by the player, (2) move opened menu card to the right. (3) Open 1 new card from the menu cards deck. Place that new card on the far left of the opened menu cards row.
The sheet illustrates these three steps: (1) Successfully cooked Menu Card will be taken by the player; (2) Move Menu Card to the right; (3) Open New Menu Card from Menu Cards Deck.
-
The player can cook more than one food at every turn. When the groceries run out or can not cook, then remove all remaining grocery cards & the player on his left will take the turn.
-
If the player having turn to cook can not cook any opened menu cards, he may keep 1 main grocery card or supplement grocery card and place such card facing down before the player. Kept card can be used for the following cooking phase.
-
If all players have the turn to cook, collect used grocery cards. Shuffle and place under the deck facing down.
-
Cooking priority moves to the player on the left of the player having current cooking turn.
-
The player can use customer card anytime when he has turn to cook (unless bussineswoman and security, other customer cards can be used at the other player's turn to cook). After being used, place that customer card to the used customer cards deck.
