Goal of the Game

Vroom Vroom Quokka is a game of clever predictions using ticket cards that are half-hidden inside wallets. Read your opponents, use your tickets at just the right time, and the player who collects the most tickets wins.

Components

  • 30 Ticket Cards (3 colors, 1–10)
  • Game Board
  • Bus Marker
  • 4 Wallets
  • 5 Stands
  • 4 Reference Cards

Attach the bus marker and wallets to the stands.

Setup

  1. Place the game board in the center of the table.
  2. Shuffle the ticket cards face down and deal them out based on the number of players. Place any unused cards back in the box without revealing them.

  1. The player who looks most like a quokka becomes the starting player. Starting with the starting player and proceeding clockwise, each player chooses a wallet.

Gameplay

  1. The starting player chooses a location on the game board and places the bus marker there.
  2. Going clockwise from the starting player, each player selects one ticket card and inserts it into their wallet so that only half is visible—either the number or the location. Place the wallet face up in front of you.
  3. Once everyone has placed their wallets, all players reveal their ticket cards and activate their effects.

Cards 3 and 5 move the bus marker 2 spaces.

The player who played the highest ticket card matching the final bus location wins the round.

If the bus marker was removed or no ticket matches the bus's final location, the highest ticket number wins. In case of a tie, the player who placed their card earlier wins.

  1. The winner takes all ticket cards they used this round and places them face down in their scoring pile. They also become the new starting player for the next round.

End of the Game

If players have only 2 ticket cards remaining, the final round begins. (The illustration shows the final round beginning with 2 cards in hand.) In the final round, the winner also takes all of the unused cards.

Calculate the score from the scoring pile. Cards numbered 6 and 7 are worth 2 points; all other cards are worth 1 point.

The player with the highest total score wins. In case of a tie, all tied players share the victory.

2-Player Rules

Follow the basic rules, except for the following changes.

Setup

Remove all 8 cards from the deck. Shuffle the remaining cards face down and deal 11 cards to each player. Place unused cards back in the box without revealing them. Each player takes 2 wallets.

Gameplay

Players take turns. The starting player puts one ticket card into a wallet and places it. The other player does the same. Then both players repeat this so that a total of 4 ticket cards are used per round.

End of the Game

When each player has only 3 cards left, play the final round.
