Setup

  1. Place the ship in the middle of the table. Place the flag in the middle of the ship. Place 6 chests in the cabin. Place the last chest on one end of the ship.

The ship has a deck at each end and a cabin in the middle, where the chests are placed.

  2. Each player receives the following: 1 storage area

    For 3-4 players:

    2 Gold / 2 Silver / 1 Iron / 1 Glass / 1 Gem / 1 Viking

    For 2 players:

    4 Gold / 4 Silver / 2 Iron / 2 Glass / 2 Gems / 2 Vikings

  3. Place all items into your Storage area.

How to Play

  1. Choose a start player. That player takes the first turn, and then the next player in clockwise order goes, and so on.

  2. On your turn, take 1 piece from your storage and place it on the Deck of the raised side of the ship. If the ship doesn't tilt, you were successful, and your turn ends.

Ship's Tilt Changes

If the tilt of the ship changes, it is a failure. Leave the cargo where you placed it on the ship, but take one of the cabin chests as a penalty and place it in your storage.

The next player then takes their turn. Note that you must always place your cargo on the Deck tilted upwards.

Spilling the Ship's Cargo

If when trying to place cargo on the ship, any already loaded cargo falls off, pick up all the cargo that fell and place it in your storage. If the cargo you were trying to place also falls off, pick it up and try again. If any more cargo falls off, pick it up as normal and try again. Keep doing this until you successfully place the cargo on the ship. If the ship tilts while doing this, take a chest as a penalty.

Cargo Moves Into Cabin

When placing cargo, if any cargo moves into the cabin, simply move the cargo back into its original spot. If the tilt of the ship changes while doing this, take a chest as a penalty. If you accidentally knock something off the ship while doing this, simply place it back on the ship in its original spot.

End of Game

The game ends immediately when:

  • A player's turn is over and they have no cargo in their storage. That player is the winner.
  • A player's turn is over and they take the last chest from the cabin. The player with the least amount of pieces in their storage wins. In case of a tie, all tied players compare the weight of their cargo (by using the ship), and the player with the lightest load wins.
