  • 4 corner towers (come in 2 parts)
  • 1 vampire (glows in the dark, magnetic)
  • 1 bat wand (glows in the dark, magnetic)
  • Garlic chips (glow in the dark): 8 x one bulb, 8 x two bulbs, 8 x three bulbs
  • Instructions

Set the game up with the light on

Remove all of the parts from the box. Assemble the corner towers (1) and position them in the four corners of the base section of the box (2). Place the board on top of the box, with the short sides between the towers (3) and position the vampire in the middle. Put the 24 garlic chips on the corresponding garlic spaces and set the bat wand in place.

Play the game in the dark

You can play VAMPIRES OF THE NIGHT in the light, in the twilight or in the dark!

Do you want to play in the dark? Then first of all, light up the bat, the vampire head and the garlic chips by putting them under a bright lamp or leaving them in sunlight (4). They will then glow in the dark!

Move the vampire

The head of the bat and the head of the vampire both contain magnets which repel each other.

If you hold the bat near the head of the vampire, the vampire moves over the board as if by magic, without either making any contact with each other.

Idea and aim of the game

Each player takes it in turns to guide the vampire through the ruins.

The goal is to push as much of the garlic over the edge of the board to the outside (1), for which points are awarded!

But remember! If the garlic falls into the holes then it lands in the children's crypt where it spreads its evil, smelly smell (2). This does not score points!

Game play

The player with the longest eyeteeth starts and moves the vampire using the bat wand until one of the following three things occurs:

a) You moved a garlic chip over the edge of the board? Great, then take the chip and hide it in your hand. Make sure you do the same thing if several chips fall down at the same time. Your move is now over and the next player takes up the bat wand.

b) Oh no! You pushed a garlic chip down the hole? Your move is now over and it's time for the next player to take their turn.

c) You made the vampire fall over the edge? Then put him back onto the board as centrally as possible. Your move is now over and it's time for the next player to take their turn.

End of the game

The game ends when there are no more garlic chips left on the board.

Switch the light on! Show everyone how many chips you're holding in your hand. The wicked vampire hunter Knobelzobel failed to beat the vampires! The player who has the most bulbs of garlic on the chips they have gathered up is the vampire of the night and is the winner!
