Game Contents
- 4 unicorns: Glitterluck (pink), Stardust (yellow), Wonderflower (purple) and Magicswirl (turquoise)
- 1 unicorn foal Rosalie (rose)
- 1 cloud castle
- 5 white clouds and 5 blue clouds, made of wood
- 1 die
- 1 cloud game board
- 16 cloud tiles
- 10 cloud crystals
- 1 rulebook
Setup
Place the cloud game board in the middle and stand the cloud castle (as shown in the illustration) in the recess. Turn all cloud tiles to their light side and lay them in any order in a circle around the cloud game board. Stand unicorn foal Rosalie on a tile of your choice and keep the die ready.
The remaining unicorns, the white and blue clouds and the 10 cloud crystals are kept as a supply outside the cloud circle, so that everyone can reach them easily.
Gameplay
You play in turn, clockwise. Whoever most recently flew in an airplane over the clouds is the starting player and rolls the die.
What does the die show?
- One, two or three clouds: Move Rosalie forward that many cloud tiles clockwise.
- Star: Place Rosalie on any tile.
Where did Rosalie land?
-
On a white cloud: Take a large white cloud from the supply and stack it on the cloud castle.
-
On a blue cloud: Take a small blue cloud from the supply and stack it on the cloud castle.
-
On the unicorn symbol: Take any unicorn from the supply and stack it on the cloud castle.
Attention: You may also build to the right and left of the castle, but only within the recess.
-
On a cloud crystal: Place a cloud crystal from the supply into any round recess of the cloud game board.
If you land on a tile and the pictured cloud, unicorn or crystal is no longer in the supply, you do nothing. Rosalie simply stays where she is.
Afterwards it is the next player's turn and they roll the die.
What happens if parts of the castle fall?
Put the fallen clouds and/or unicorns back into the supply. The crystals already collected stay on the cloud game board.
Turn over any tile showing a white or blue cloud.
What does the cloud tile show?
- The thunderstorm: Oh, careful! The thunderstorm threatens your building project. As soon as the third thunderstorm tile is revealed, you have unfortunately lost.
- The sun: Lucky you, you can keep stacking without worry.
Put the turned-over tile next to the cloud circle. With the neighbouring cloud tiles you can close the gap that has appeared in the circle.
End of the Game
Once the 10 cloud crystals are collected and all 4 unicorns are stacked, you no longer need to roll the die. The child who rolled last now stacks Rosalie on the cloud castle. If nothing falls down, the game ends and you have won together. Congratulations on your new, big cloud castle!
If something does fall down, the game continues as described above.
or
As soon as 3 thunderstorm tiles have been revealed, you have unfortunately lost.
Variants
- The game becomes easier if you may reveal up to 4 thunderstorm tiles and Rosalie no longer has to be stacked at the end.
- The game becomes harder if only 2 thunderstorm tiles may be revealed.
