Will the solo bot take Control on a tile with no objective points, or with a player unit present?
The designer said the normal control rules apply to the bot.

The bot takes Control only on objectives, not on tiles with no objective points. The normal control rules apply to it, so under the Reinforcements rule it can take an objective you do not control even with your unit on it.
