Can I look at my opponent's discard pile or supply?
The designer said supplies are open, removed cards are private and no rule forbids inspecting discards.

Probably yes. Card supplies are open information, and the designer says no rule forbids inspecting discards (the designers themselves play that you may look at your own but not your opponent's). Your deck is hidden, and removed (casualty) cards are known only to their owner.
