You can borrow resources from the bank. At any time, you can re-pay part or all of your debt by returning borrowed resources.

On each Food Day, after feeding workers and taking rewards, you must pay the indicated amount of corn for each block of debt remaining. You lose points for each block that you cannot pay for. You also lose points for each block of debt remaining after the final Food Day. (Keep track of your debts by placing spare blocks on this tile.)

The tile's icon row gives the corn cost and the points lost for each unpaid block of each debt type:

  • Wood block: pay 1 corn for each wood block of debt remaining. Lose 1 point for each wood block you cannot pay for.
  • Stone block: pay 1 corn for each stone block of debt remaining. Lose 2 points for each stone block you cannot pay for.
  • Gold block: pay 2 corn for each gold block of debt remaining. Lose 3 points for each gold block you cannot pay for.

Transcription note: the corn cost and point loss for each block type are read from the icon row on the printed tile (wood: one corn, -1; stone: one corn, -2; gold: two corn, -3). The corn ear counts are read from the scan.
