Components
- 4 boards, each showing an animal in its bed, with 4 shapes where the missing items go
- 40 tiles in 4 different shapes
- 1 cotton bag
Goal and Setup
The goal is to find and place five tiles on your board: a teddy (doudou), the top and bottom of pyjamas, a toothbrush and slippers. The player who completes their board first starts the little story.
The shape of each tile is drawn on the board, except for the slippers, which are placed beside the bed. There is one pair of slippers in each shape, so finding one is enough. There is no set order for placing tiles on a board.
Players must recognise the shape of a tile with their fingers without looking into the bag.
Setup: each player chooses an animal (board) and places it in front of them. Then all the tiles are put into the bag.
Playing the Game
Each player in turn, starting with the youngest, reaches into the bag to draw a tile to fill their board. They must not look, but they may touch the tiles inside.
- If the tile matches a missing element on the player's board, they place it there and the turn passes to the next player.
If the tile does not match a missing element, there are two options:
- Story tile. The tile matches no element on the player's board, so it is a "story tile". The player places it face up in the centre of the table. All story tiles are placed face up one after another. They will be used to tell the little story.
- Already owned. The player already has this tile on their board. They may either exchange it with another player's tile, provided that other player can place it on their own board, or return it to the bag and pass their turn.
Special Tiles
- KISS (BISOU): the player who draws this tile must give a kiss to everyone (except on the metro!!!). They then place the tile at the end of the story tiles. The player has the right to play again.
- CLOWN: the player who draws this tile must pull a face (especially on the metro!!!). They then place it at the end of the story tiles.
- ANIMALS: three tiles show animals (cat, hen, dog). When a player draws one of these, they must imitate the animal's cry (miaou, cotcotcooot, houa-houa) before placing it on the story path. Then the next player takes their turn.
End of the Game
As soon as one player has found the five tiles of their animal (toothbrush, teddy, pyjama top and bottom, and slippers), it is time for the little story.
That player starts by using the first story tile placed. The picture guides them: for example, if it shows a castle, they can say "Once upon a time in a castle…". The next player then continues with the second tile, and so on until the last tile.
