Setup

Place the 3 podium tiles in the center of the table. We recommend spacing them 10 cm apart.

Place the 9 character blocks around the podiums.

Shuffle cards and deal 4 cards to each player. It is your hand. Put the deck within easy reach of all players.

Type of Cards

There are four types of objective cards:

Podium card. The card shows 3 characters pointing to a colored podium icon. The 3 characters must be stacked on the indicated colour podium. Order does not matter and other characters can be stacked in between.
Adjacent-pair card. The card shows 2 characters, one above the other, linked by an arrow. The 2 characters must be stacked exactly on top of each other in the right order. There must be no other character between the two characters. The colour of the podium or other character blocks in the stack does not matter.
Order card. The card shows 3 characters linked in a vertical chain by arrows (for example: elephant, then whale, then vested mouse). The 3 characters must be stacked in the indicated order. The podium colour or any other blocks stacked in between does not matter.
Rank card. The card shows a highlighted character between two numbers (for example "4" above and "2" below, with the character on rank "3"). The highlighted character must be placed in a stack on the indicated rank. The colour of the podium or other character blocks in the stack does not matter, but there must be at least 1 character block on top of the highlighted character.

Gameplay

The youngest player decides on the first player and play proceeds in a clockwise order.

On Your Turn

On your turn you can either:

A) Choose 1 character block not in play and put it on top of any existing block stack or onto an empty podium.

B) Move 1 block or a block stack in play and put it on top of any other existing block stack or onto an empty podium.

Stacking Rules

When moving several blocks in play, you can only move them by holding one block (this rule does not apply to kids).
Blocks can only be stacked in upright position. They cannot be stacked upside down nor on its side.
You cannot reverse the previous player's last move.

Playing Cards

If a stack of blocks fulfill your card conditions, yell "photo time!", regardless of whose turn it is. Reveal your card and check if it matches.

If it does, play it face-up in front of you and draw a new card.
If it does not, put your card back to hand.

If block arrangement matches more than one of your cards, play them all in front of you. Make sure to always refill your hand up to 4 cards.

Likewise, if the card(s) you just drew matches as well, you can play it right away and draw again to refill your hand.

Penalty

If you drop or knock down blocks, your turn ends immediately. Return fallen blocks and any eventual blocks still in hand back around podiums. Then, discard 1 of your played cards back under the deck as a penalty. If you do not have any played card to discard, then play just moves on to the next player.

End of the Game

The first player to play 7 cards wins the game. If several players play their 7th card at the same time, they are all declared winners.
