A Baddie that flees leaves the mat and counts as defeated; it is not sent to the bottom of the Battle Queue. A Flee Baddie that enters after Round 5 won't flee, and one added after the end of a round doesn't flee right away because Flee's end-of-round timing has already passed. Flee Baddies often carry Treasure, so you must defeat them before they run to get it.
