  • 12 Pugs
  • 2 Lollipop Dice
  • 4 Parklets Cards

Players: 2-4. Ages 4+. 15 min.

How it works

When you gently press on a pug on its sides with your thumb and index, the pug sticks its tongue out! Lift its head up slightly if the tongue doesn't go back in when you are done pressing.

Object of the game

Find the pugs who ate the lollipops indicated on the dice and got their tongues all colored out! When you find a match, you collect the pug on your parklet. The first player to collect 6 pugs wins the game.

Set-up

Place the 12 pugs randomly in the middle of the table and give a parklet card to each player. Make sure nobody sees any tongue in the process!

Playing the game

The game plays in a clockwise direction starting with the youngest player. Begin your turn by rolling the Lollipop dice. You have 2 attempts per turn to try to find the pugs who ate the 2 lollipops illustrated on the dice.

Select 2 pugs and check their tongues. When you press on a pug, all players must be able to see the color of their tongue.

  • If none of the pugs' tongues match the colors on the dice, place the pugs back where they were (make sure the tongue is back in!) and it's the next player's turn.
  • If one of the pugs' tongues match a color on a die, place the pug on your parklet, and it's the next player's turn.
  • If the 2 pugs' tongues match the 2 colors on the dice, place the 2 pugs on your parklet and play again!

If you don't think either of the colors on the dice are among the pugs left in the middle of the table, you can also look for matches in pugs you or your opponents have already collected but you cannot take them. This could give you a chance to roll again if you match the 2 dice with 2 pugs.

Players are not allowed to shuffle the pugs on the table or the ones already collected in front of them.

Winning the game

Be the first to collect 6 pugs to win. If the last pug from the center of the table is taken and no player has collected 6 pugs, the player with the most pugs wins the game.

In the case of tie, the player who took the last pug wins the game.

Game options

Players can help or give false information to other players.

For more advanced players (suggested for ages 6 and up): in addition to taking pugs from the center of the table when there is a match, players can also take pugs from their opponents.
