Kayran
Changes to Game Setup
In step 2 of game setup when playing with the Legendary Hunt expansion, players may choose (or draw) the Kayran as the legendary monster.
Koschei
Changes to Game Setup
In step 8 of the base game setup, add the Koschei monster card to the stack of Level III monster cards, and shuffle the Koschei monster token into the stack of Level III monster tokens.
Koschei and the Monster Trail expansion: If players choose to play with the variant "Monster Weaknesses and Special Attacks", during game setup place the Koschei monster card in the face-up monster card stack from the base game, and add a large card to the stack of large monster cards.
Siren
Changes to Game Setup
First, set up the base game and the Skellige expansion according to the standard rules. Then add the Siren components:
- A: Place the Siren miniature on the Dagon area.
- B: Place the Siren card next to the Dagon card.
Changes to Gameplay
On their turn, a player may choose to fight the Siren. To do so, they must move to the Dagon area according to the rules described in the Skellige expansion instructions, in the section "Travel and Fighting Dagon".
If the Siren miniature is in the Dagon area, a player may move to that area before Dagon appears in the game.
The fight with the Siren is conducted in the same way as a fight with other monsters, with the following changes:
- The player cannot gain the Siren's monster token in any way. They do not receive it from the Monster Trail task, nor after losing a fight with the Siren.
- When a player defeats the Siren, they take 2 gold tokens from the bank and slide the Siren card under their player board so that the trophy ability is visible. The player does not increase their reputation and does not suffer fatigue.
- When the Siren is defeated or driven off, the miniature is returned to the box. The Siren will not appear again in the game.
When Dagon is due to surface and the Siren miniature is in his area, place the Siren miniature next to the board. The Siren miniature is placed again on the Dagon area after the Dagon miniature has been taken from it.
Siren and the Monster Trail expansion: The Siren has no monster token and no large monster card assigned to her. If players choose to play with the variant "Monster Weaknesses and Special Attacks", during game setup use the large Dagon card. The Siren and Dagon have the same special attacks and the same passive attack.
Siren Card
Front of the card, titled "SYRENA" (Siren), with the printed value 10 and a hex icon showing 1:
Ability (front of card): "Throughout the entire fight, the limit of action cards in the player's hand is 3. When the player creates their endurance deck and has more than 3 cards in hand, they immediately discard that many cards to have 3."
Back of card, the trophy ("TROFEUM") SYRENA:
Flavour text: "The enraged siren had none of the grace and charm with which she usually lures sailors so easily. The monster abandoned its human form to speed toward you over the water on outstretched wings. At the last moment you managed to dodge this deadly charge. With the tip of your sword you hooked the monster's membranous wing, tearing it. Unable to fly, the siren was no longer a greater threat."
Trophy ability: Do not increase your reputation and do not suffer fatigue for defeating this monster.
Trophy ability (in phase III): Instead of buying a card according to the standard rules, you may discard 1 card with the water terrain symbol from your hand to take any card from the face-up action card pool.
