The Restless Hours
Card text (printed on the card face):
"If you cannot play anywhere else, play one of your fates here. Then move it one card to the right."
Doom Variant (Card Back)
The card back is a rules sheet for a doom-based variant. The sheet reads "use this card as The Hours", so this card takes the place of The Hours in that variant.
Setup
- Shuffle the deck of arcana cards, then remove all but 15 cards from the game.
- Play as normal but without the doom tracker. Use this card as The Hours.
Gameplay
- Whenever doom would be accrued, instead remove that many cards from the bottom of the deck.
- When a faded power is used, remove it from the game.
- Players win when they reach 7 points. Players lose if no card deck remains when a card fades or doom is accrued.
Transcription note: the card back has no separate "Winning / Losing" heading. The final two bullets, the win condition and the loss condition, are printed under the Gameplay heading and are reproduced in that position. The card back's text is printed in small type on a hand-held photograph, so the transcription is from the photograph and may not match the printed wording exactly; the card front's ability text was legible in full.
