[A] Game overview

Each turn, players will play question cards, gathering clues about the hidden flower cards in front of each player. The ultimate goal however, is to figure out the identity of the one "Secret Flower" card, which is unknown to all.

[B] Game setup

The game is set up based on player count (2 to 5 players) and chosen difficulty level.

  1. Shuffle all 16 cards face side down. Set aside one card face down in the middle of the players. This is the "Secret Flower".
  2. Choose a starting player, preferably the last person to see a flower. Refer to Tables 1 and 2 for the distribution of cards for the rest of the setup.

The sequences are the number of cards given to the start player, then all other players, in clockwise order.

  1. Beginning from the starting player, each player receives a number of Hidden cards. Players look at their own cards, then place them face down in front of themselves in a row, smallest to highest number from left to right. Players may peek at their own Hidden cards during the game.
  2. Similarly, each player receives a number of Question cards. These are held in hand and played face up during the game.

[C] Flow of the game

Beginning from the starting player, each player in clockwise turn order plays 1 of their Question cards to any 1 Hidden card. The player who owns the Hidden card rotates the question card to the answer and places the answer close to that Hidden card (see example 1).

Example 1: Calla asks Lily about her middle Hidden card. The question is "What is the number range of this card?". Lily's card is 14, so she rotates Calla's question card to the range "13, 14, 15, 16", without revealing that it is a 14.

Note: You may ask a question to any card, including your own Hidden cards. You may also ask questions to Hidden cards that already have question cards on them.

[D] Rules of communication

Aside from answering question cards, players may not reveal any clues or information about their Hidden cards as this will spoil the game. However, players are encouraged to discuss any information that is open to all players.

If the identity of a Hidden card is clear based off open information, you are allowed to flip it face up after consulting all other players.

Example 2: Cards 13, 15 and 16 are revealed (shown as three revealed flower cards numbered 13, 15 and 16), hence the Hidden card in example 1 must be 14.

[E] Game end

When all question cards have been played, everyone must now guess the identity of the Secret Flower. Do this by counting to 3, then simultaneously pointing to a number on the back of any face down card.

Winning the game: flip the "Secret Flower" card face up. In a Simple and a Regular game, players win if at least 2 players (3 in a 5 player game) correctly guessed its number. In an Expert game, ALL players need to guess correctly in order to win.
