Does saving cost me progress in The 7th Citadel?

Question

A little. In 2020 the publisher said there is not much benefit or disadvantage to saving, and unlike The 7th Continent it isn't needed to refresh the map (the Alembic is an exception). Note the current rulebook has you discard Skill cards and return the board to the Past when you save.
