Can I repeat the same action again and again to keep getting its reward?

Yes, if the action is still available and you pay its cost. An action stops being available when a Permanent event with that action's icon is attached, when the card is discarded, returned or banished, or when the card it takes is no longer in the Adventure Deck. After a failed attempt you resolve the failure, then choose a new action, which may be the same one.
