Overview

The players are taggers, racing to tag the city as quickly as possible. The dice determine the graffiti shapes the players will paint. Choose them well to tag entire neighborhoods. If you finish a section or a part of the city, do not hesitate to brag about it. The prestige is yours. Once the competition is over, only the best tagger will be remembered!

Components

  • 1 HQ board
  • 4 city boards
  • 14 graffiti tokens
  • 5 dice
  • 1 leader token
  • 4 erasable markers

Setup

Place the HQ board in the middle of the table. For your first games, we suggest using side A of the board, with printed shapes. Place the corresponding graffiti tiles on the spaces.

If you prefer to play freestyle, use side B of the HQ board and place (randomly or not) six graffiti shapes on the colored spaces of the board.

The three small graffiti shapes are placed in the center of the HQ board.

Each tagger takes a city board and a marker. All players place their boards on the same side. We recommend side A for your first games and side B when you feel ready.

One tagger takes the leader token and becomes the leader for this turn. The leader takes a number of dice equal to the number of taggers +1 (3 dice in a 2-tagger game, 4 dice in a 3-tagger game, 5 dice in a 4-tagger game). Put away the extra dice; they will not be used.

You are ready to paint the city!

Turn Sequence

The leader rolls the dice and places them on the HQ board, where the taggers plan what they are going to paint. The dice determine which graffiti shapes the taggers can use this turn. The value of the dice indicates where they can be placed. Each value lies between two adjacent spaces, and the leader chooses on which side to place each die. A space can contain several dice with different values.

Once the dice are placed, the taggers decide how to paint their city, starting with the tagger to the left of the leader, then continuing clockwise.

On their turn, the tagger chooses a die and takes it in front of them. This determines which graffiti shape they will use to paint the city.

Otherwise, the tagger may choose instead to lose a little prestige to use a drone, allowing them to paint any graffiti, or to check their social networks, in order to pass their turn.

Once this tagger has finished, the tagger on their left plays their turn in the same way, and so on. The leader is the last to choose.

Painting the City

When the tagger chooses a die, they must immediately draw the graffiti shape corresponding to their city's tag. The shape can be drawn anywhere, and can be rotated or flipped in any direction. If needed, the tagger can use the graffiti tile to see how the shape can be drawn on their board (but they must then put the tile back on the HQ board).

Check or color in the squares covered by the chosen shape. Once drawn, a graffiti cannot be moved or erased.

  • Players must draw the graffiti completely.
  • It is not possible to place part of the graffiti outside the city.
  • It is not possible to place part of the graffiti on a square that is already painted.
  • A graffiti can spread over several neighborhoods.

The Last Die

When all taggers have played, one die remains. All taggers use the remaining die simultaneously to paint the city, use a drone or check their social networks.

Then the leader token passes to the next tagger clockwise. The new leader takes all the dice, rolls them, and places them on the HQ board as before.

Scoring Points

As soon as a tagger completes a column, a row or a neighborhood, they announce it to the other taggers and circle the corresponding prestige value. If they are the first to complete that element, they circle the large value associated with it and the other taggers check off that value. If the element has already been completed by another tagger (the large value has already been checked), they circle the small value.

Several taggers can circle the small value, but only one tagger can circle the large value.

If several taggers complete the same column, row or neighborhood with the last die, they may together score the large point value, if it has not been checked.

Using a Drone

A tagger can decide to cheat by using a drone. In this case, they choose a die, but instead of drawing the associated graffiti, they may choose any shape on the HQ board, even one of the small graffiti shapes in the center of the board. This is the only way to be able to draw the small shapes.

When a player uses a drone, they circle the first negative value on the drone remote control on their city board. Cheating loses prestige.

Checking Social Networks

A tagger can decide to paint nothing during a turn in order to check their social networks. In this case, they choose a die, but instead of drawing the shape on their city, they circle an available bubble next to their character. The other taggers check the bubble chosen on their board. This section is shared by all players.

If several taggers decide to check their social networks with the last die, they all circle the same bubble.

End of the Competition

The competition ends when one of the following three conditions is met:

  • all the large values (columns, rows and neighborhoods) have been circled or checked,
  • all the social network bubbles have been circled or checked (remember that this area is shared),
  • all the squares on a tagger's drone remote control have been circled.

Finish the turn normally, using all the dice. If a tagger has no more squares available on their remote control, they can no longer use their drone. If there are no more social network bubbles available, a tagger can still check their social networks without penalty.

Once the competition is over, each tagger adds up the circled squares (positive and negative) on their board. The tagger with the highest total is the best tagger, and their name will be on all the walls of the city.

In case of a tie, the tagger who checked their social networks the most is the winner. They paid the most attention to their online presence. If there is still a tie, you will have to wait for the next competition to decide between the taggers.
