Goal of the Game

Be the first player to play out all of your Super Circles cards.

Setup

  1. Shuffle the cards.
  2. Place the top card of the deck face up in the middle of the table. This starts the centre pile.
  3. Deal the remaining cards among the players. Each player places their personal draw pile in front of them, face down.

Setup for 4 players: the diagram shows the centre pile in the middle of the table, with each player's draw pile (Player 1 through Player 4) placed face down around it.

Course of Play

The player who dealt starts the game by saying "GO!"

Each player draws cards into hand until they are satisfied with the number of cards in hand. You may look at the cards in your hand, and you may also play cards directly from your draw pile. There is no limit to how many cards you may hold in hand, but they must be drawn one at a time.

You now compete to play your cards out onto the centre pile. To play a card, it must match the top card of the centre pile as follows: your card must have a ring that is identical to a ring on the top card, identical both in colour and in placement.

Nobody waits for their turn. A card may be played as soon as a player finds a match.

You must say the number of the ring that matches when you play a card.

Each new card must have a different ring matching than the one that gave the previous match. The diagram shows Card A, Card B and Card C. Card A is the top card of the centre pile. Card B is played, matching blue ring 2. Card C is then played, matching red ring 1. The next card must have either a blue ring 4, a green ring 3 or a purple ring 2. Red ring 1 cannot be matched, because that was the ring matched by the card played just before.

Players may draw new cards from their draw pile at any time.

You are allowed to play cards one after another, but you may not play two or more cards at the same time.

If two or more players try to play a card at the same time, only the bottom card counts, that is, the first card that was placed on the centre pile when the situation arose. It does not matter who called out their number first. The losing player or players must take their cards back into hand.

The requirements for playing a card change constantly, so a match is almost always possible. In rare cases, however, no player finds a match even after drawing all the cards from their draw pile. In that case the dealer stops the game, moves the bottom card of the centre pile up to the top, and says "GO!" again.

The game continues until one player is out of cards.

Who Wins

The winner of Super Circles is the player who first manages to get rid of all of their cards.
