On Your Turn
- Draw one stick randomly out of the bag. OR If you have any sticks in front of you (see Falling Sticks), you may choose one of those sticks to play.
- Place the stick on the tower so that all parts of the stick are touching only matching colors on the tower or on other sticks.
NOTE: White counts as a color. The white part of a stick may only touch the white part of another stick or the tower.
- When placing a stick, your hand may not touch the tower or any stick that is already placed, and you may not intentionally move another stick using the stick you are placing.
- When you are done placing the stick, play continues to the next player.
- Your turn ends when the next player draws a stick from the bag or chooses a stick in front of them.
Sliding Sticks
Playing sticks may cause the tower to tilt, which may cause previously played sticks to slide into new positions.
During your turn, if a stick slides so that it is no longer touching matching colors, that is okay; just leave it there and continue play as normal.
Falling Sticks
During your turn, if any sticks fall off the tower, you must collect those sticks and place them on the table in front of you.
On your next turn, instead of drawing a stick from the bag, you may choose a stick in front of you to place on the tower.
Sticks in front of you at the end of the round will count as points against you, so try to get rid of all your sticks!
End of a Round
A round ends in one of two ways:
Tower Topple — All of the sticks fall off the tower, or the tower itself falls over.
No More Sticks — A player cannot place a stick because there are no more sticks in the bag and they have no sticks in front of them.
When a round ends, count the score for each player. If the game is not over (see Ending the Game), put all the sticks in the draw bag and start a new round.
Scoring
Sticks — Score 1 point for each stick you have in front of you at the end of the round.
Tower Topple — Score 5 points if you caused all of the sticks to fall off the tower, or the tower itself to topple. Place all the sticks that fell off during that turn (including the stick you just placed) back in the draw bag — they are not considered to be in front of you.
Ending the Game
If at least one player's score is 11 points or more at the end of the round, the game is over. The player with the LOWEST total score wins!
NOTE: For a shorter or longer game, lower or raise the number of points that will end the game.
