What can a withdrawn hero still do?

He is removed from the map, cannot activate, and his hero sheet, Class and Item cards stop working for the rest of the mission, but he still helps with group decisions, still gets rewards, and returns to normal in post-mission cleanup. Supply cards, which are neither class nor item cards, are reported to remain usable in cleanup; that last point is only community reading.
