Table of Contents
Component Breakdown
- 3 plastic figures (Stormtrooper)
- 3 Deployment cards (2 Stormtrooper, Vader's Finest)
- 4 Command cards (Reinforcements x2, Set for Stun, Stealth Tactics)
- 3 Agenda cards (Vader's Fist)
- 2 Skirmish Mission cards (Training Ground)
- 1 Reward card (501st Training)
- 4 ID tokens with 12 ID stickers
Component Limitations
In a campaign, when using Deployment cards found in the core game, players are limited to the number of figures included in the core game. Therefore, the Imperial player is limited to six regular and three elite Stormtrooper figures, even if he owns multiple copies of the core game or this expansion.
Skirmish Attachments
Some skirmish upgrade Deployment cards list the word "Attachment" above their abilities. These cards can be attached to other Deployment cards as follows:
- When deploying units during skirmish setup, if a player has one or more "Attachment" cards included in his army, he places each of these cards on one of his non-upgrade Deployment cards.
- Each Deployment card can have only one "Attachment."
- Abilities on "Attachment" cards apply to all figures in the corresponding group.
- Many attachments require the group to have a specific trait, such as "Trooper." Attachments with these restrictions cannot be played on a group that does not have the trait.
When a group with an "Attachment" card is defeated, the opposing player scores VPs equal to the deployment cost of the "Attachment" card in addition to the VPs he scores from the defeated group's Deployment card.
Skirmish Map: Training Ground
The Training Ground skirmish map is printed on the sheet as an image. The layout is not transcribed; the tile list and the map labels are below.
Map tiles: [stormtrooper icon] 01A, 03A, 07A, 09A, 11A, 14A (2), 17A, 18A, 19A, 20A, 22A, 23A, 25A, 32A, 35A, 36A, 39A (3)
Map labels: "Remotes" (printed above the row of map tokens in the map legend). The legend shows an [A] marker (red) and the neutral, Imperial and Rebel token images; the sheet gives no rules text for them.
Skirmish Mission Card: Deception Game
The Training Ground Skirmish Mission cards use the "Training Ground" map above. The Deception Game card is the one shown on the sheet; the text of the second Skirmish Mission card is not visible in the image and is not transcribed.
Deception Game (Training Ground)
- After setup, each player places 1 facedown red neutral mission token on 1 of his Deployment cards and 1 facedown blue neutral mission token on up to 2 additional Deployment cards. Groups corresponding to these Deployment cards are marked groups.
- Each time the last figure in a marked group is defeated, reveal its token. If the token is red, that group's opponent gains 10 VPs. If the token is blue, that group's player may draw 1 Command card.
- The door is locked (Health: 10, Defense: 1 [defense icon]).
Command Cards
The sheet shows the four Command cards as a group: Reinforcements (x2), Set for Stun and Stealth Tactics. Only the front of Set for Stun is legible in the image, so only its text is transcribed here. The text of the Reinforcements and Stealth Tactics cards is not printed on the sheet.
Set for Stun
Any Figure
- [attack icon]: Performs an attack. If the target would suffer 1 or more [damage icon], reduce the [damage icon] suffered to 0. Then, the target becomes stunned.

- [action icon] [action icon]: Recover 3 [icon] and become focused.
The sheet does not name the icons on the Reward card; they are left in brackets as printed (see Transcription Notes).

- Payload reaches the weak point or all heroes wounded: End of Mission
Mission Briefing
You march toward a training facility for the 501st Legion, also known as Vader's Fist. Command has informed you that this outpost is critical to Imperial logistical operations. Destroying it could break the Empire's grip in this sector.
The hoversled carrying the thermal payload is prepped and ready, but you'll need to get it in yourself. You know that this facility is directly connected to a stormtrooper barracks, however, so you expect plenty of resistance.
- The Rebel mission token represents the explosive payload.
- The neutral mission token represents the weak point.
- Doors are locked to Imperial figures.
- At the start of each Status Phase, if there is a healthy hero adjacent to the explosive payload, the heroes may advance it. If they do, they move it 3 spaces.
- The explosive payload cannot move through doors, impassable terrain, or blocking terrain.
- The mission ends at the end of Round 6, when all heroes are wounded, or when the explosive payload enters the weak point's space ([weak point icon]).
The Legion
After each time the heroes advance the explosive payload:
The Imperial player chooses 1 of the following:
- Reinforce 1 regular Stormtrooper.
- 4 [threat icon]: Deploy 1 regular Stormtrooper group.
- Increase [threat icon] by 1.
Into the Breach
The first time a door is opened:
The blast doors open and the internal defenses are ready for you. You hear shouts and commands as troopers align themselves into position to face you.
- Increase [threat icon] by 1 plus the threat level and resolve an optional deployment to the blue point.
- Deploy the reserved Stormtrooper group to the red point.
- The red deployment point is now active.
- Doors are no longer locked to Imperials.
End of Mission
When the explosive payload enters the weak point's space:
The explosives go live, forcing everyone present to flee. The remaining stormtroopers ignore you as they retreat to their own ships. As you fly away, you see the smoking crater that was once an Imperial outpost.
- Heroes receive 100 credits per hero.
At the end of Round 6 or when all heroes are wounded:
You can't get the payload to the structural weak point and you're forced to retreat before Imperial walkers and bomb disposal agents come to undo your work. As you fly away from the outpost, you sigh wearily. You know you'll be seeing more of the 501st Legion, and soon.
- The Imperial player receives "501st Training" Reward card.
Additional Rewards
- Each player receives 1 XP. Heroes receive 100 credits per hero. The Imperial player receives 1 influence.

- Source: the official FFG in-box rules sheet, two pages, image-only. Read from the page images at 150, 300 and 600 dpi; no OCR text was used.
