Components and Integration

This pack provides the Hondo Ohnaka, Friend for Hire plastic figure that can be used when playing a mission. The other components in this expansion are incorporated as follows:

  • Add the Deployment and Command cards to their supplies.
  • If you own the Tyrants of Lothal expansion, the Imperial player can choose the "Ohnaka Gang" Agenda set when building his Agenda deck at the start of a campaign.
  • If you own the Tyrants of Lothal expansion, shuffle the Skirmish Mission cards into the Skirmish Mission deck. These cards use the "Lothal Spaceport" map (see below).

Component Breakdown

  • 1 Plastic Figure (Hondo Ohnaka)
  • 3 Deployment Cards (Hondo Ohnaka x2, Lie in Ambush)
  • 4 Command Cards (Worth Every Credit, Hostile Negotiation, Out of Time, Let's Make a Deal)
  • 3 Agenda Cards (Ohnaka Gang)
  • 2 Skirmish Mission Cards (Lothal Spaceport)
  • 2 Epilogue Cards (for use with Tyrants of Lothal)

Paying VPs

When an ability instructs a player to pay another player VPs, the paying player loses VPs and the paid player gains an equal number of VPs.

  • If using an ability requires a player to pay more VPs than that player has, that player cannot use that ability.
  • If a player's ability requires an opponent to pay more VPs than they have, that opponent pays all of their remaining VPs.

Deployment Card Restrictions

Some Deployment cards can be used in only one style of play in Imperial Assault. A Deployment card marked with a Campaign Deployment Icon can be used only in a campaign, while a Deployment card marked with a Skirmish Deployment Icon can be used only in a skirmish.

Neutral Deployment Cards

Deployment cards with a Neutral Icon and card back do not belong to an affiliation. When creating an army for a skirmish, a player may choose to include Neutral Deployment cards as if they belonged to their affiliation. Neutral Deployment cards cannot be used in a campaign.

Skirmish Attachments

Some skirmish upgrade Deployment cards list the word "Attachment" above their abilities. These cards can be attached to other Deployment cards as follows:

  • When deploying units during skirmish setup, if a player has one or more "Attachment" cards included in their army, they place each of these cards on one of their non-upgrade Deployment cards.
  • Each Deployment card can have only one "Attachment."
  • Abilities on "Attachment" cards apply to all figures in the corresponding group.
  • Many attachments require the group to have a specific trait, such as "TROOPER." Attachments with these restrictions cannot be played on a group that does not have the trait.

When a group with an "Attachment" card is defeated, the opposing player scores VPs equal to the deployment cost of the "Attachment" card in addition to the VPs they score from the defeated group.

Skirmish Mission: Lothal Spaceport

This map requires the Tyrants of Lothal expansion.

The Lothal Spaceport skirmish map is printed on the sheet and is used with the two Skirmish Mission cards in this pack (see Components and Integration above). The sheet does not print the text of those Skirmish Mission cards.

Side Mission: The Pirate's Ploy

This map requires the Tyrants of Lothal expansion.

Deployment and Setup

  • Initial Groups: Trandoshan Hunter.
  • Reserved Groups: Hondo Ohnaka (Friend for Hire).
  • Open Groups: 4.
  • Special Setup: Increase threat by twice the threat level and resolve an optional deployment.

Event Summary

  • Round 2: Call for Backup
  • Round 6: End of Mission
  • E-XD defeated: Runaway Droid
  • Door opens: Follow the Source
  • Tracking beacon placed or all heroes wounded: End of Mission

Mission Briefing

You corner a surprised Hondo in his hideout just as he cracks open the crate. Spewing exaggerated apologies, the pirate agrees to give up the Imperial shipment. Hondo backs away just as an Imperial E-XD infiltrator droid bursts from the container.

  • The Imperial mission token represents the E-XD Infiltrator Droid. The E-XD is an Imperial figure (Health: 5 plus twice the threat level, Defense: 1 black die, Attack: [ranged attack icon] 2 red dice, +4 Accuracy, Speed: 3).
  • As an activation, the Imperial player can activate the E-XD. (Track the E-XD infiltrator droid's state by flipping the token – Imperial: ready, Rebel: exhausted.)
  • The door is locked. If the E-XD has been defeated, a figure can interact with the door (2 [icon] or [icon]) to open it. That figure may suffer 1 [icon] during that test to reroll any number of dice.
  • The mission will progress when the door opens ([icon]).
  • The mission ends at the end of Round 6 or when all heroes are wounded.

Call for Backup

At the end of Round 2:

  • Increase threat by the threat level and resolve an optional deployment.

Runaway Droid

When the E-XD is defeated:

The injured droid bounds through a door, hastily welding it behind him. If you can place a tracker on it, you can find out where it is taking its intel.

Follow the Source

When the door opens:

  • The blue deployment points are now active. The green deployment points are now inactive.
  • Increase threat by the threat level and resolve an optional deployment to the black point.
  • Deploy the reserved Hondo Ohnaka to the red point.
  • Apply additional Health to Hondo Ohnaka equal to twice the threat level.
  • Put the E-XD into play on the yellow point.
  • When an attack targeting the E-XD is declared, the Imperial player may spend 1 threat to apply +2 [icon] to the defense results.
  • When the E-XD would be defeated, it is incapacitated instead. When it is, it can no longer activate. A Rebel figure can interact with the incapacitated E-XD ([eye icon]) to place a tracking beacon on it.
  • The mission ends when the Rebels place a tracking beacon on the E-XD ([icon]).

End of Mission

When the tracking beacon is placed:

With the tracking device securely and secretly implanted, you make a good show of being "defeated" as you retreat. The data from that droid should prove extremely valuable to the Rebellion.

  • Heroes receive 100 credits per hero.
  • If playing an expanded mini campaign with Tyrants of Lothal, resolve the "Score Settled" Epilogue card.

At the end of Round 6 or when all heroes are wounded:

Unable to catch back up with Hondo or the mysterious Imperial droid, you are forced to retreat to the safety of your ship, left with only bad news to report.

  • If playing this mission as a side mission, the Imperial player receives Hondo Ohnaka (Friend for Hire) as a villain.
  • If playing an expanded mini campaign with Tyrants of Lothal, resolve the "Loose Ends" Epilogue card.

Additional Rewards

  • Each player receives 1 XP. Heroes receive 100 credits per hero. The Imperial player receives 1 influence.

Transcription Notes

  • The sheet's text is read from page images at 300 dpi; no text layer exists. Icons are written as words where the sheet's text makes the meaning plain (threat, defeated, Health, credits, XP, influence, Accuracy, Speed). Icons whose meaning could not be identified with certainty at the printed size are shown in brackets ("[icon]", "[eye icon]", "[ranged attack icon]") rather than named: the defense-result icon in the E-XD's Follow the Source bullet, the door-interaction and test-cost icons, the door-progress icon, and the tracking-beacon icon.
  • The sheet's footer strip of card numbers (the list of card IDs for this pack) is not reproduced; it is a card index, not rules text.
  • The Lothal Spaceport map's printed legend labels and the copyright line ("© & TM Lucasfilm Ltd. / © FFG") are not reproduced.
