- Players: 3-6
- Time: 20 min
Contents: 54 movie cards, 6 extra points cards, 1 notebook.
How to Begin
Each player receives a game card with their turn to be The Spoiler. This role passes from player to player, clockwise, in turns. The remaining players are Spoiler Hunters.
The Spoiler reads a question and the 3 possible answers. He/she then decides which of the answers is worth 1 point, 2 points and 3 points and tells the other players. The Spoiler needs to bear in mind that the points allocated to the correct answer, shown on the card by an asterisk, will be the number of points awarded to players who answer correctly.
Players can use the notebook provided to keep a record of the points awarded throughout the game.
Extra Points
When The Spoiler allocates 3 points to the correct answer, he/she gets 2 extra points, up to a maximum of 4 extra points per game. Players use the extra points cards to show when they have accumulated 2 or 4 extra points.
Winning
The player with the highest number of points after the third round is the winner.
2 Ways to Play
Version 1: Full Throttle
The Spoiler asks:
- For 3 points: Who thinks the correct answer is...?
- For 2 points: Who thinks it is...?
- For 1 point: Who thinks it is...?
Players raise their hand to show their chosen answer.
After revealing the correct answer the players who chose it are awarded the points allocated by The Spoiler to that answer (3, 2 or 1).
The Spoiler gets 1 point for each player that gets the answer wrong.
Version 2: Alone in the Face of Danger
The Spoiler Hunters decide as a group on one single answer.
If they get it right they each get the points allocated by The Spoiler (3, 2 or 1). If they get it wrong, only The Spoiler gets the points for the correct answer.
Option Team Captain: The player seated to the left of The Spoiler is named Team Captain. In the result of a draw when deciding on the correct answer the Captain has the casting vote. If the Spoiler hunters get it right, the Captain gets double points.
