Contents

8 search scenes, 160 "object" tiles, 100 "Transaction" cards (76 Collector cards, 24 Action cards), 24 "magnifier" pawns, 6 "turn order" pawns, 4 cloths, 1 bag, 1 sand timer, the rulebook.

Object of the Game

Score as many points as possible at the end of 5 search phases by finding the objects scattered in the scenes.

Setup

Place the 160 "Object" tiles in the bag and mix everything. Players randomly draw a scene and place it in front of them, face down (without looking at it).

One of the players draws 3 "Object" tiles per player, plus one. Example: for 4 players, draw 13 tiles (4x3) + 1. He reads each tile aloud, then places it in the centre of the table, within reach of all players.

Course of the Game

The game is played over 5 turns.

On each turn, players must search their scene for objects corresponding to the "Object" tiles. Each scene includes the 160 objects of the game. They are illustrated differently depending on the scene.

Beginner Game Mode

Count 3 magnifiers per player and place them in the centre. At the start signal, the players simultaneously turn their board over to the illustrated side and start the sand timer.

When a player spots one of the objects in his scene, he calls out its name so that the other players hear it. He grabs the corresponding tile, places it next to his board and uses a magnifier to mark its location on his scene. Objects that have been found are protected and can no longer be claimed by other players.

The turn ends when all the objects have been found or when time runs out. Each player then has his board checked by his right-hand neighbour. The location of the magnifiers must correspond to the collected "Object" tiles. In case of an error, the tile is turned face down.

After each turn, draw as many "Object" tiles as necessary to get back to the starting number and read them aloud. The magnifiers return to the centre. Then pass your scene (face down) to your left-hand neighbour and get ready for a new turn. After 5 turns, the player who has collected the most objects wins the game!

Expert Game Mode

The game is played over 5 turns. Each turn is divided into 3 phases:

  1. Card draw
  2. Search phase
  3. Selling phase

As in beginner mode, deal 1 scene (face down) to each player. Draw 3 "Object" tiles per player, plus one. Example: for 4 players, draw 13 tiles (4x3) + 1.

Read each tile aloud before placing it in the centre of the table. Place nearby a number of "Turn Order" tokens equal to the number of players. Example: for 4 players, use tokens 1, 2, 3 and 4. Unlike beginner mode, the magnifiers are distributed to the players. Each takes 3 and places them next to his board.

Shuffle the Transaction cards and form a face-down draw pile to keep within reach.

1. Card Draw

Draw 2 "Transaction" cards per player and place them in a corner of the table visible to all. There are 2 types of cards: "Collector" and "Action". Collecting these cards earns you money.

2. Search Phase

Each scene includes the 160 objects of the game. They are illustrated differently depending on the scene. When a player spots one of the objects in his scene, he calls out its name so that the other players hear it. He grabs the corresponding tile, places it next to his board and uses one of his 3 magnifiers to mark its location on his scene. Each "Object" tile shows the name of the object as well as a symbol that will be useful in the following phase. The objects fall into 4 categories: Sport, Leisure, Everyday, History.

Warning! A player may, at any time, decide to stop his search phase. Either he has placed his last magnifier, to finish before the others, or he takes the "Turn Order" token that is still available, with the lowest number. The search phase ends when time has completely run out.

3. Selling Phase

Players take turns using the "Object" tiles in their possession to win Collector or Action cards. Turn order is determined by their "Turn Order" token.

The player with token 1 starts. He may either buy a card or pass. Then it is the turn of the player with token 2, then 3, 4 and so on before returning to player 1, etc. A player who passes turns his "Turn Order" token to its "Pass" side and cannot change his mind.

  • To obtain a "Collector" card, you must exchange it for 1 object of the same category. Check the symbol displayed on the card. Some cards require 2 objects.
  • To obtain an "Action" card, you must exchange it for 3 objects with the same symbol. The power of an "Action" card can only be used once. See the paragraph POWERS OF ACTION CARDS.

"Object" tiles that have been used are discarded from the game.

The turn ends if all players pass or if there are no cards left.

The "Turn Order" pawns return to the centre of the table. Draw as many cards as necessary to rebuild the card reserve (2 per player). Players keep their magnifiers and pass their scene (face down) to their left-hand neighbour before starting a new turn. Players must never play the same scene twice. If this happens, draw new ones. Draw as many "Object" tiles as necessary to get back to the starting number and read them aloud.

Powers of Action Cards

To use the power of an action card in your possession, turn it sideways. Cards can only be activated once.

  • Cloth: Choose an opponent. After he has turned over his scene and before he starts playing, throw the cloth onto his board (from a distance of about 40 cm) to hide as many details as possible. It is forbidden to move the cloth before the end of the turn.
  • Upside Down: Choose an opponent who must turn his scene over by 180 degrees. The ceiling must be where the floor is.
  • Standing: Choose an opponent who must play standing up, keeping one hand on his head. He is not allowed to lean forward!
  • Reserved Object: Choose an "Object" tile from among those revealed and place it in front of you. Only you can find this object. If you succeed, take the tile; otherwise, put it back in the bag.
  • Double Dose: For the duration of the sale, on each of your turns you may buy up to 2 cards instead of one.
  • Extra Magnifier: Take an extra magnifier. You may keep it as long as it has not been used to win a 4th object (3+1).

End of the Game

At the end of the 5th turn of play, the game is over. Players add up the value displayed in euros on their cards. Objects still in their possession are worth 10 euros each. The winner is the player who has made the most profit.

Clarifications

  • If a player realises he has made a mistake before time runs out, he puts the tile back where he took it and takes back his magnifier.
  • To make the game easier, sort the "Object" tiles by identical category before the search phase.
