- 150 cards (25 cards in 6 different colors);
- game rules.
Game setup
Each player chooses a color and takes all corresponding cards. These two are voting cards — at the start of the game set them aside, as they will be used only for Quizzes.
Each player then shuffles his cards and puts them face down in a draw pile next to himself.
Then he takes five cards from his draw pile without showing them to others, and the game can begin (pic. 1).
Aim of the game
The aim of the game is to get rid of your cards as quickly and efficiently as you can. The game consists of 3 rounds, with scoring at the end of each round. The winner is the player with the most total points after the 3 rounds.
How to play a round
The player with the longest thumb gives a start signal, and everyone starts to play. All players are acting simultaneously — there are no turns during the game! Be quick and active while playing your cards — don't wait for the others to act.
You play your cards one by one. If at any time you have less than 5 cards in your hand, you can draw up to 5 cards in hand. If at any time you have in your hands cards that you don't like, you can put any number of cards underneath your draw pile and draw as many cards in place of them.
Note that during the game each player will have one pile of played cards in front of him — his Profile (pic. 1).
The cards
A Gallery card is played in a player's own Profile, becoming the active Gallery. When you play it you must immediately announce it to other players, who in response will be able to put one of their Like cards on the top of it. Other players may put Like cards on top of your Gallery as long as you don't play any new cards in your Profile. When a player plays a new card in his Profile, the active Gallery becomes inactive, and no more Likes can be played on it. In order to gain attention for your Gallery, you can give it some interesting title.
A Like card is played in another player's Profile and only on top of an active Gallery. Each player may play only one Like card on each Gallery. Playing the Like card on your own Gallery is not allowed!
A Contest card is played in a player's own Profile (pic. 2). When you play it, you have to name a task or ask a question, for example: "Jump three times" or "What is the capital of Brazil?". The first player to do the task or answer the question correctly wins the contest (in case of ambiguity, the player who played the Contest decides the winner). Then both the Contest's originator and the winner may put one of their cards (either from their hand or the top card of their draw pile) face down in their respective Profiles (pic. 3). Playing a contest doesn't stop the game.
A Quiz card is played in a player's own Profile. When you play it, you have to say "Stop!". This immediately halts the game and no player may play, draw or discard cards until the Quiz is resolved. After the Quiz has been resolved, the player who played the Quiz card says "Start!" and the game continues.
The player who played the Quiz makes a statement about himself, for example: "my favorite fruit is banana", and then plays one of his voting cards face down: this one, if the statement is true, or this one, if the statement is false.
Playing the game
Other players then put one of their voting cards face down in front of them (pic. 4), stating whether they think the statement is true or false. When everyone has placed their voting cards, reveal the cards (pic. 5) and players who guessed correctly may put one of their cards (either from their hand or from the top of their draw pile) face down in their Profile in the following manner:
a) if all players guessed correctly, they, but not the author, put down a card;
b) if some players guessed correctly, they and the author put down a card (pic. 5);
c) if no one guessed correctly, only the author puts down a card.
(pic. 6 shows the layout of the player's profile, draw pile and voting cards for each player.)
Counting the points
As soon as a player has played all of his cards the round immediately ends and scoring begins. Each player receives 1 point for each card (both his own and those of opponents) in his Profile (pic. 7–A) and loses 1 point for each card left in his hand (pic. 7–B) and draw pile (pic. 7–C). Write the scores down on a sheet of paper, then each player takes back all his cards, shuffles them, and the next round begins.
The winner of the game is the player who has the most total points after 3 rounds. In case of a tie, the winner is the tied player who had the single highest score in a round. In case it's still a tie then all tied players win.
Additional rules and explanations
- Whenever you put a card in your Profile as a result of winning a Contest or a Quiz, you put it face down and its action is not performed.
- If a player has played a Contest, but someone plays a Quiz before the Contest is resolved, you resolve the Contest and only then you halt the game in order to do the Quiz.
- When counting points, if you notice that someone has put more than one Like on one of your Galleries, or played a Like card on one of your closed Galleries, you give the wrongly played cards back to the owner, which will count as a minus 1 point for him.
Rules for 2 player game
When playing with 2 players the following rules changes apply:
- Before the game each player removes 5 Like cards from his deck. These will not be used during the game;
- The game is not played simultaneously, but instead the players take turns, one after the other (after deciding who will start the game);
- In his turn the player can perform only one of the following actions:
- play a card and draw a replacement card;
- put any number of cards from his hand at the bottom of his draw pile and draw as many new cards;
- pass.
- If you play a Contest card you have to challenge your opponent to a duel where both of you perform the same task (for example, "rock, paper, scissors" or "who will jump further"). The winner of the duel puts one of his cards in his profile, as per the base rules. In a case of tie, nobody scores any points;
- A round ends as soon as any player is out of cards or both players choose to pass one after the other.
