Overview
Snow Planner is a dice placement game that does not involve rolling dice.
The dice are your workers and you take actions by training and placing them.
The game begins in the quiet, low season, continues on through the busier high season, and finishes at the end of the fiscal year.
Over 8 rounds, you will need to entertain guests and invest in the hotel in order to succeed.
The winner is the player with the most Victory Points (VP) at the end of the eighth round.

Setup
The following instructions are for playing this game with 2 or 4 players. If you want to play with 1 or 3 players, refer to page 24.
Main Area Setup
- Place the slope board in the center of the table with the side corresponding to the number of players facing up.
- Separate the 78 resource tokens by type and place them within easy reach of all players.
- Separate the 45 window tiles by type and place them within easy reach of all players. The place where these resource tokens and window tiles are placed is called the "stock".
- Shuffle all 36 guest cards face down. Then place them in the "guest card area" at the top of the slope board. This stack of guest cards is called the "guest deck".
- Turn 6 cards from the top of the guest deck face up and place them next to the guest deck. Align them with the numbered sections marked at the top of the slope board. This row of guest cards is called the "station".
- Shuffle all 12 project cards face down. Then place them in the "project card area" at the top of the slope board. This stack of project cards is called the "project deck".
- Turn 3 cards from the top of the project deck face up and place them in the "project area" in the center of the slope board.
- Shuffle all 9 VIP cards face down. Then turn over a number of cards equal to the number of players plus one and place them near the slope board. The remaining VIP cards are not used and should be returned to the box face down. This arrangement of VIP cards is called the "VIP card display".
- Shuffle all 10 goal cards face down. Then turn 5 goal cards and place them near the slope board. The remaining goal cards are not used and should be returned to the box face down. This arrangement of goal cards is called the "goal card display".
- Shuffle all 7 summit tiles face down. Then place 3 of them face down in the "summit area" at the top of the slope board. The remaining summit tiles are not used and should be returned to the box face down.
- Separate the 13 round cards by type and shuffle each type face down. Then take the following number of cards for each type and stack them face down in the following order: "LOW SEASON", "HIGH SEASON", "FISCAL YEAR END". The remaining round cards are not used and should be returned to the box face down. This stack of round cards is called the "round card deck".
| LOW SEASON | HIGH SEASON | FISICAL YEAR END | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Number of round cards | 4 | 3 | 1 |
- Shuffle all 72 event cards face down. This stack of event cards is called the "event deck". Place the event deck near the slope board.
- Place the part-time job dice in the "part-time job area" at the bottom of the slope board with the face showing 2.
Regarding Resource Tokens and Window Tiles: Consider the resource tokens and window tiles to be unlimited. If you run out, please use other items as substitutes.
Player Setup
- Each player chooses one color. Then, each player takes one hotel board, three worker dice, one round tile, and two wooden cubes of that color and places them in front of them.
- Each player takes two of the received worker dice. Set one die to show 1 and the other to show 3, and place them in the "worker area" at the bottom of their hotel board. The remaining worker die should be set to show 1 and placed near the slope board.
- Each player takes one of the received wooden cubes and places it on the "0" position of the "promotion track" on the left side of their hotel board. The remaining wooden cube is placed on the "0" position of the "victory point track" around the slope board.
- Take a number of opening guest cards equal to the number of players, shuffle them face down, and deal one to each player. The received opening guest card is placed on DAY 1 of any guest room in the center of the player's hotel board (there is no difference between the three guest rooms).
- Check the number in the top left of the opening guest cards prepared in step 17. Starting with the player with the smallest number, place their round tile on the "turn order track" at the top of the slope board on the leftmost available space.
- Each player draws five event cards from the event deck to form their "hand" of cards. These cards are keep private.
- Shuffle the 10 talent cards face down. Then, deal two face-down cards to each player. Each player looks at the two received talent cards privately and selects one. The chosen talent card is placed face up near their hotel board. The unchosen talent card and the remaining talent cards are returned to the box. Refer to page 28 for how to use the talent cards.
Round Flow
This game progresses by repeating rounds composed of the phases listed on the right. After the "Cleaning Phase" of the 8th round is completed, the game ends, and the scoring is calculated.
The phases: (a) Announcement Phase, (b) Main Phase, (c) Resolution Phase, (d) Payment Phase, (e) Bonus Phase, (f) Check-out Phase, (g) Cleaning Phase.
(a) Announcement Phase
Flip over the top card of the round card deck and place it next to the round card deck. If there are already face-up round cards, place the new card on top of them. This will record the current round number.
The effects of the round card revealed during the Announcement Phase will be processed in the "Resolution Phase" (see page 17 for details).
If it is the first time a "HIGH SEASON" round card is revealed (the 5th round), turn all summit tiles in the "HIGH SEASON" area of the slope board face up.
Once all this process is complete, proceed to the next phase.
(b) Main Phase
Following the order of the round tiles placed on the turn order track (referred to as the "turn order"), each player takes their turn. During each player's turn, they place one worker die or part-time job die (see page 16 for details) from their worker area on their hotel board onto an "action space". Once a player's turn ends, the next player in the turn order takes their turn. In the following explanation, the worker dice and part-time job dice will be collectively referred to as "dice".
When the last player in the turn order places a die on an action space, the turn returns to the player who is first in the turn order. This process is repeated until all the dice in each player's worker area are used up.
If a player has no dice in their worker area, their turn is skipped. Additionally, when placing a die on an action space, if possible, it must be placed to the leftmost available position. A die cannot be placed on an action space where other dice, including the player's own, are already placed.
Once all players have used all the dice in their worker areas, proceed to the next phase.
Regarding the Values of Worker Dice and Part-Time Job Dice
In this game, you do not roll the worker dice or part-time job dice. Instead, the values of the dice prepared during the game setup [Steps 13 and 15] are increased through the following free actions. Once a die's value has been increased, it cannot be decreased. To increase the value of a die, follow these steps:
You cannot increase the value of worker dice that are already placed on the slope board or part-time job dice that are still in the part-time job area.
Free Action: Increasing the Value of a Worker Die
- Select one worker die from the worker area on your hotel board.
- Check the value of the worker die selected in step 1.
- Return the number of tickets equal to the value checked in step 2 from your hand to the stock, and then increase the value of the worker die by 1.
- As long as you can return tickets to the stock, you may repeat steps 1-3 any number of times during your turn in the main phase.
Free Action: Increase the Value of a Part-time Job Die (see page 16 for details)
- Select one part-time job die from the worker area on your hotel board.
- Check the value of the part-time job die selected in step 1.
- Return [the number of tickets equal to the value of the part-time job die minus one] from your hand to the stock, and then increase the value of the part-time job die by 1.
- As long as you can return tickets to the stock, you may repeat steps 1-3 any number of times during your turn in the main phase. When you increase the value of the part-time job die, you may gain victory points (see page 16 for details).
Type of Action Space
Some action spaces have a cost indicated by -1 or -2 . When placing a die in these action spaces, treat the die's value as if it were reduced by that amount. You can place a die with any value in an action space, but if the value falls below "1" due to the cost, you will not receive the effect of that action space. Therefore, to receive the effect of an action space, the die value must be "1" or higher after considering the cost.
Free Action: Reducing the Cost of Action Spaces
You can reduce the cost of -1 or -2 when placing a die in an action space by returning the corresponding number of tickets or snow from your hand to the stock. You can return any number of them to the stock simultaneously. However, the reduction cannot exceed the die's value.
When you place a dice you can gain the effect of an action space with a value equal to or less than the space's value.
Ticket : +1 Snow : +2
Action Space 1: Snow Area
If you place a die with a value of "1/2" in this action space, gain 1 snow and place it in your supply.
If you place a die with a value of "3" in this action space, gain 2 snow and place them in your supply.
If you place a die with a value of "4" in this action space, gain 1 window tile and immediately place it in the hotel area of your hotel board.
If you place a die with a value of "5" in this action space, gain 3 snow and place them in your supply.
If you place a die with a value of "6" in this action space, gain 5 snow and place them in your supply. Then, you may play 1 event card from your hand or 1 goal card from the goal card display to your play area (see page 13 for details).
Example 1: Placing a Die in an Action Space
The green player places a die in the action space of the Snow Area. Since only the action space with the -2 cost is available, they place a die with a value of "4".
Because the action space has a -2 cost indicated, the die is treated as having a value of "2" instead of "4". The green player gains 1 snow and ends their turn.
Gaining and Placing Window Tiles
During the game, when you gain a window tile, immediately place it in the hotel area of your hotel board. You may place the window tile on any space in the hotel area. However, only one window tile can be placed on each space in the hotel area.
When you place a window tile in the hotel area, if there is an icon on that space, immediately gain the effect of that icon. Refer to the manual for the effects of each icon.
If you place window tiles on all the spaces, you will gain 3 victory points at the end of the game.
All hotel windows are filled : gain 3 victory points
Example 2: Placing a Die in an Action Space
The green player places a die in the action space of the Snow Area. Since only the action space with the -2 cost is available, they place a die with a value of "4".
Because the action space has a -2 cost indicated, the die is treated as having a value of "2" instead of "4". However, the green player returns 2 tickets from their hand to the stock, reducing the cost by "2".
This allows the die they placed to be treated as having a value of "4", so the green player gains 1 window tile, places it in the hotel area of their hotel board, and ends their turn.
Action Space 2: Restaurant Area
If you place a die with a value of "1/2" in this action space, gain 1 croissant and place it in your supply.
If you place a die with a value of "3" in this action space, gain 2 croissants and place them in your supply.
If you place a die with a value of "4" in this action space, gain 3 croissants and place them in your supply.
If you place a die with a value of "5" in this action space, gain 4 croissants and place them in your supply.
If you place a die with a value of "6" in this action space, gain 6 croissants and place them in your supply.
Free Action: gain a Window Tile
At any phase, each player can return 3 croissants from their hand to the stock to gain 1 window tile.
Action Space 3: Promotion Area
If you place a die with a value of "1" in this action space, gain 1 like and advance the promotion track by 1 space.
If you place a die with a value of "2/3" in this action space, gain 2 likes and advance the promotion track by 2 spaces.
If you place a die with a value of "4/5" in this action space, gain 4 likes and advance the promotion track by 4 spaces.
If you place a die with a value of "6" in this action space, gain 6 likes and advance the promotion track by 6 spaces. Then, gain 2 victory points.
Advancing the Promotion Track
During the game, when you advance on the promotion track, move the cube on your hotel board's promotion track the specified number of spaces.
If there are icons on the spaces the cube passes through or stops on, immediately gain the effects of those icons.
Example: If advancing 4 spaces, gain 1 croissant and 1 window tile.
Advancing the Victory Point Track / Additional Worker Dice
During the game, when you gain victory points, immediately move your cube on the victory point track on the slope board forward by the number of points gained.
If your cube on the victory point track reaches 8 points or more, gain the third worker die placed near the slope board during "Game Setup: 15". Place the acquired worker die in the worker area of your hotel board. Be careful not to change the die value.
The acquired worker die can be used like any other die starting from the next round.
Even if your victory points drop below 8 points, you will not lose the third worker die.
Action Space 4: Ticket Area
If you place a die with a value of "1" in this action space, gain 1 ticket and place it in your supply.
If you place a die with a value of "2/3" in this action space, gain 2 tickets and place them in your supply.
If you place a die with a value of "4/5" in this action space, gain 3 tickets and place them in your supply.
If you place a die with a value of "6" in this action space, gain 5 tickets and place them in your supply. Then, you may play 1 event card from your hand or 1 goal card from the display to your play area (see page 13 for details).
Action Space 5: Event Area
If you place a die with a value of "1/2" in this action space, you may play 1 event card from your hand or 1 goal card from the goal card display to your play area.
If you place a die with a value of "3/4" in this action space, gain 1 ticket and place it in your supply. Then, you may play 1 event card from your hand or 1 goal card from the goal card display to your play area.
If you place a die with a value of "5/6" in this action space, you may play up to 2 event cards from your hand or goal cards from the goal card display to your play area.
How to Play Event Cards
When playing an event card to your play area, if the event card has a "cost" (indicated in the top right corner with a blue background), you must pay the cost to play that event card. To pay the cost, return the specified number of resource tokens from your supply to the stock.
Additionally, if the event card has a "condition" (indicated in the top left corner with a red background), you must meet that condition to play the event card to your play area.
Place the played card face up in your play area.
Some event cards may have both a "cost" and a "condition". In such cases, you must fulfill both to play the event card.
Snowman Tags and Snowman Effects
Some event card effects include a snowman effect.
To gain the snowman effect, you must have already played other event card with a snowman tag to your play area (excluding the card itself that you're playing).
How to Play Goal Cards
When playing a goal card to your play area, you must meet the acquirement conditions listed at the top of the goal card. The acquirement conditions refer only to the placement of window tiles on your hotel board and do not consider the color of the window tiles.
When you play a goal card to your play area, you immediately gain the victory points indicated in the middle of the goal card. The victory points at the bottom of the goal card are gained at the end of the game (see page 22 for details).
A total of three goal cards can be played by all players combined. If someone plays the third goal card, turn the remaining goal cards in the goal card display face down.
Action Space 6: Guest Area
If you place a die with a value of "1/2" in this action space, you can take 1 guest card from the "1, 2" positions in the station.
If you place a die with a value of "3" in this action space, you can take 1 guest card from the "1, 2, 3, 4" positions in the station.
If you place a die with a value of "4" in this action space, you can take 2 guest cards from the "1, 2, 3, 4" positions in the station.
If you place a die with a value of "5" in this action space, you can take 2 guest cards from the "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6" positions in the station.
If you place a die with a value of "6" in this action space, you can take up to 2 cards in total, either guest cards from the "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6" positions in the station, or VIP cards from the VIP card display.
Placing Guest Cards and VIP Cards
When you obtain a guest card or VIP card, immediately place it on DAY 1 of any unoccupied guest room on your hotel board. There is no difference between the three guest rooms.
If all guest rooms already have guest cards or VIP cards placed in them, you cannot obtain any more guest cards or VIP cards.
To obtain a VIP card, you must meet the acquirement conditions listed at the top of the VIP card. The acquirement conditions refer only to the placement of window tiles on your hotel board and do not consider the color of the window tiles.
Refilling Guest Cards from the Station
When there are no guest cards left in the station, follow the steps below to refill from the guest deck at the end of each player's turn.
- Move all the guest cards in the station towards position "1" of the station.
- Fill all the empty spaces with guest cards from the guest deck, placing them face up.
- If you cannot refill from the guest deck, move the guest cards as described and leave the empty spaces unfilled.
How to read Guest Cards and VIP Cards
Guest cards show: Type of Guest Card; Rewards Gained during the (d)Payment Phase (see page 17 for details); Consecutive Stay Conditions (see page 19 for details); Required Value to Acquire card in the VIP Area (see page 15 for details).
VIP cards show: Type of VIP Card; Acquirement Conditions; Rewards Gained during the (d)Payment Phase (see page 17 for details); Consecutive Stay Conditions (see page 19 for details); Penalty for Checkout (see page 20 for details).
Action Space 7: VIP Area
You can place a die with any value in this action space.
When you place a die in this action space, you may obtain one VIP card from the VIP card display. However, you must place a die with a value of "1" or higher after considering the cost required at the bottom of the VIP card.
Additionally, you must meet the acquirement conditions for the VIP card (see page 14).
If you obtain a VIP card, immediately place it on DAY 1 of any guest room on your hotel board. There is no difference between the three guest rooms.
Example: Placing a Die in the VIP Area
The green player places a die in the VIP Area to obtain a VIP card. The required value listed at the bottom of the VIP card is "8".
First, the player returns 2 snow from their hand to the stock, reducing the required value by 4, making the new required value "4".
Then, the player places a die with a value of "5" in the VIP Area. Since the value of the placed die is greater than the reduced required value at the bottom of the VIP card, the player obtains the VIP card.
The green player places the VIP card on DAY 1 of guest room 1 on their hotel board and ends their turn.
Action Space 8: Summit Area
You can place a die with any value in this action space.
When you place a die, immediately gain the effect of the icon indicated in that space.
If the summit tile is face up, you also gain the effect of the icon on the summit tile.
Action Space 9: Part-Time Job Area
You can place a die with any value in this action space.
When you place a die in this action space, take the part-time job die from the part-time job area and move it to the worker area of your hotel board. Then, draw one card from the event deck and add it to your hand. The part-time job die obtained in this action space can be placed in an action space like a worker die starting from the next turn.
The part-time job die can be increased in value in the same way as a worker die (see page 9). Each time you increase the value of the part-time job die, you gain the following victory points.
| Increased to a value of 3 | Increased to a value of 4/5 | Increased to a value of 6 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Victory Point(s) | 1 | 2 | 3 |
The part-time job die placed in an action space returns to the part-time job area without changing its value during the (g) Cleaning Phase (see details later).
Action Space 10: Project Area / Project Cards
You can place a die with any value in the action spaces of the Project Area. However, if a cost is indicated on the action space, note that you can only place a die with a value greater than that cost (see page 9).
When you place a die, only process the effect listed in the upper section of the project card at that location. First, return the amount of resources indicated to the left of the arrow from your hand to the stock. Then, gain the number of victory points indicated to the right of the arrow. Afterward, flip the project card face down and acquire it. Place the acquired project card in your play area. This provides you with an action space where only you can place dice.
Once a project card is acquired, immediately refill the space with a new project card from the project deck.
You can place a die with any value on the project cards in your play area.
When you place a die, compare the number of specified resources you have with the value of the placed die. Gain victory points equal to the smaller of the two numbers.
(c) Resolution Phase
Each player simultaneously resolves the effect of the round card that was revealed during the (a) Announcement Phase. Refer to the manual for details on the round card effects. Once all effects have been resolved, proceed to the next phase.
(d) Payment Phase
Each player simultaneously gains rewards from the guest cards and VIP cards placed on their hotel board's guest rooms. Follow the steps below to gain the rewards. Once all actions are completed, proceed to the next phase.
In this phase, any player who does not have at least one guest card in all three guest rooms loses 3 victory points as a "Vacancy Penalty". Victory points cannot go below zero.
Rewards from Guest Cards
- Select one guest room that has a guest card and has not yet received its reward.
- Check which date (DAY) the guest card in the selected guest room is currently on. The date (DAY) is indicated by the icon next to the guest room.
- Gain the reward indicated by the icon for the date (DAY) checked in step 2.
- Repeat steps 1-3 for all guest rooms that have a guest card. During each (d) Payment Phase, you can only gain rewards from each guest card once.
Rewards from VIP Cards
- Select one guest room that has a VIP card and has not yet received its reward.
- Gain the reward indicated on the VIP card selected in step 1.
- Repeat steps 1-2 for all guest rooms that have a VIP card. During each (d) Payment Phase, you can only gain rewards from each VIP card once. Additionally, you gain the reward indicated on the VIP card regardless of which date (DAY) it is on.
(e) Bonus Phase
Each player simultaneously gains bonuses from the window tiles placed in the hotel area of their hotel board. Follow the steps below to gain the bonuses. Once all actions are completed, proceed to the next phase. If you gain new window tiles during the "(e) Bonus Phase", place them in the hotel area of your hotel board at the end of the Bonus Phase.
- Count the number of window tiles placed in the hotel area of your hotel board, sorted by type.
- Refer to the counted number in step 1 and gain the corresponding bonuses for each type of window tile.
(f) Check-out Phase
Each player simultaneously checks the consecutive stay conditions of the guest cards and VIP cards placed in their hotel board's guest rooms. Once all actions are completed, proceed to the next phase.
Consecutive Stay Conditions
Guest cards and VIP cards each have their own "consecutive stay conditions".
To meet the "consecutive stay conditions" of a guest card, you must have placed the number of window tiles equal to or greater than the number specified on the card in the hotel area of your hotel board, according to the date (DAY) on which the guest card is placed.
To meet the "consecutive stay conditions" of a VIP card, regardless of the date (DAY) on which the VIP card is placed, you must have placed the number of window tiles equal to or greater than the number specified on the card in the hotel area of your hotel board. Additionally, some VIP cards require that you return the specified number of icon resources from your hand to the stock in addition to the number of window tiles.
If the conditions for a consecutive stay for the guest card are met
Move the guest card up to the next line. This indicates which date (DAY) the guest card is currently on.
The guest card cannot be moved above the line for DAY 3. If the guest card is on DAY 3, remove the guest card from the guest room and move it face down to the check-out area on your hotel board.
Even if the conditions for a consecutive stay are met, you can still remove the guest card from the guest room and move it face down to the checkout area on your hotel board.
If the conditions for a consecutive stay for the VIP card are met
Move the VIP card up to the next line. This indicates which date (DAY) the VIP card is currently on.
The VIP card cannot be moved above the line for DAY 3. However, if the VIP card is on DAY 3, it will not be removed from the guest room as long as the conditions for a consecutive stay are met. In this case, the VIP card remains in place.
Even if the conditions for a consecutive stay are met, you can still remove the VIP card from the guest room and move it face down to the checkout area on your hotel board.
If the conditions for a consecutive stay for the guest card or VIP card are not met
Remove the guest card or VIP card from the guest room and move it face down to the checkout area on your hotel board.
At this time, if you move a VIP card to the checkout area, you lose the victory points indicated in the bottom left corner of the VIP card as a penalty.
(g) Cleaning Phase
Perform the following steps in order. Once all steps are completed, continue the game from the next round's "(a) Announcement Phase". If, during "1. Check End Conditions", it is determined that the current round is the 8th round, end the game and proceed with scoring.
1. Check End Conditions
If the round card deck is exhausted and the "FISCAL YEAR END" round card is face up, it is the 8th round, and the game ends with scoring.
If it is currently the 1st to 7th round, skip this step.
2. Refresh Guest Cards
Return the guest cards in positions "1" and "2" of the station to the bottom of the guest deck. Then, refill the guest cards according to the usual procedure.
3. Change Turn Order
Check the summit area and change the turn order starting with the player whose die is placed in the highest position. If no dice are placed in the summit area, there is no change in turn order.
Additionally, if a part-time job die is placed in the summit area, adjust the turn order of the player who owns the part-time job die according to its position. If a player has placed two or more dice in the summit area, only refer to the highest die.
Example: The turn order for the current round was "Green Player: 1" → "Blue Player: 2" → "Red Player: 3".
The player who placed a die in the highest position in the summit area is the "Red Player". Therefore, the Red Player's turn order becomes 1. The player who placed a die in the next highest position in the summit area is the "Green Player". Therefore, the Green Player's turn order becomes 2.
Since the Blue Player did not place a die in the summit area, their turn order is pushed to 3.
4. Reset Dice
Each player retrieves their worker dice of their color from the action spaces on the slope board and places them in the worker area of their hotel board without changing the die faces. Additionally, if a part-time job die is not in the part-time job area, return it to the part-time job area without changing the die face.
Game End
When you finish the (g) Cleaning Phase at the end of Round 8 (the fiscal year end), the game is over.
If you played an Event Card or Goal Card with an end-of-game effect, resolve it now. Leftover resources do not count towards your score. Players add up all their Victory Points, and the player with the most Victory Points is the winner.
In case of a tie:
- The player with the most Window Tiles in their hotel wins. If there is still a tie:
- The player who has the most Guest Cards and VIPs in their Guest Rooms and Checkout Area wins. If there is still a tie:
- The player who has the highest number listed on their Opening Guest Card wins.
1. Event Cards
Each player gains victory points from the event cards they have played that have end-of-game effects.
2. Goal Cards
During the game, if any player has played a goal card, they gain victory points from that goal card according to the following procedure:
First, each player checks the end-of-game effect listed at the bottom of their goal card. Then, they count the elements specified by that effect. Next, players compare these counts with each other, and the player with the highest count earns the 1st place victory points.
If playing with 3-4 players, the player with the second-highest count earns the 2nd place victory points.
If multiple players have the same ranking, they share the victory points for the relevant ranks by adding the points and dividing by the number of players (rounding down any fractions). Additionally, if there are multiple players with the same rank, the next lower rank is skipped for the number of players who shared the previous rank (for example, if two or more players are tied for 1st place, no player receives the 2nd place points).
This process is repeated for the number of goal cards played (up to a maximum of 3).
3. Bonus of Window Tiles
If you have placed window tiles on all the spaces in the hotel area of your hotel board, you gain 3 victory points.
Example: Scoring Victory Points from a Goal Card
At the end of the game, the following goal card was played: SNOW RESORT.
This goal card's end-of-game effect is to compare the number of snow each player has remaining.
The number of snow each player has at the end of the game is as follows:
- Green Player: 5
- Red Player: 3
- Blue Player: 3
The player with the most snow is the Green Player. Therefore, the Green Player receives the 1st place points, which is 4 victory points.
The next highest number of snow is held by both the Red Player and the Blue Player. Therefore, they share the 2nd place points, which is 2 victory points divided between them, so each player receives 1 victory point.
This concludes the scoring for the goal card.
Advanced Rules
When all players are more familiar with the game, it is recommended to play with these advanced rules for drafting Event Cards:
- After each player is dealt their 2 Talent Cards, but BEFORE selecting one to keep, everyone checks their 5 Event Cards.
- Players pick 1 Event Card to keep in their hand, then pass the rest to the player on their left. Repeat this step until each player has a hand of 5 cards.
- Finally, considering their Event Cards, players pick 1 Talent Card to keep and return the other to the box, along with the rest of the unused Talent Cards.
Changes when playing with 3 players
When playing this game with three players, please apply the following rules:
- After all game setup is complete, take 3 lock tiles. Then, place these lock tiles in the action spaces with the -1 cost indicated in the Snow Area, Restaurant Area, and Promotion Area.
- These worker dice will remain in their action spaces until the end of the game, and players cannot place their own worker dice or part-time job dice in these action spaces. Therefore, when playing this game with three players, you can only place your own worker dice or part-time job dice in the leftmost action space or in the action spaces with the -2 cost indicated in the Snow Area, Restaurant Area, and Promotion Area.
Solo Rules
This game can be played solo. When playing alone, you will control the "Automa" as an obstructive role while aiming to score as many victory points as possible.
Setup
Set up the game as per the standard rules, with the following modifications:
- Follow the instructions for "Game Setup: Main Area Setup" as you would when playing with two players.
- Perform "Game Setup: Player Setup: 14, 15, 16" to set up both your hotel board and the "Automa's" hotel board. Do not use the wooden cubes for the "Automa"; return them to the box.
- During "Game Setup: Player Setup: 17, 18", when distributing the opening guest cards, the player receives the card with the number "2" in the top left corner. The "Automa" receives the card with the number "1" in the top left corner. Place the round tiles on the turn order track according to these numbers.
- Complete "Game Setup: Player Setup: 19, 20" to set up the player's talent cards and event cards. The "Automa" does not use talent cards or event cards.
- Shuffle the solo action cards and solo event cards separately, keeping them face down. These are referred to as the "Solo Action Deck" and the "Solo Event Deck", respectively.
Game Flow
The game proceeds as per the standard rules, with the following modifications:
- During the "(b) Main Phase", when the player takes their turn, they follow the usual rules for taking a turn.
- During the "(b) Main Phase", when it is the "Automa's" turn, draw one card from the "Solo Action Deck" and reveal it. Then, execute the effect described on the solo action card. The die values of the "Automa's" worker dice are not considered during this process.
- During the "(g) Cleaning Phase", in addition to the usual rules, shuffle the revealed solo action cards back into the "Solo Action Deck" to form a new deck. The other phases proceed as per the standard rules. The "Solo Event Deck" remains unchanged unless otherwise instructed.
Rules for "Automa"
When controlling the "Automa", follow these rules:
- The "Automa" takes its turn as long as there are worker dice remaining in its worker area on its hotel board.
- Due to the effects of solo action cards, if the "Automa's" worker dice are placed in an action space, the player cannot place their worker dice or part-time job dice in that action space.
- The "Automa" does not gain victory points, snow, croissants, or tickets as a result of solo action card effects.
- The "Automa" does not advance on the promotion track due to solo action card effects.
- The "Automa" can gain window tiles, guest cards, VIP cards, goal cards, and project cards as a result of solo action card effects. Guest cards and VIP cards gained by the "Automa" are placed on its hotel board following the standard rules. Goal cards and project cards gained by the "Automa" are placed near its hotel board.
- If the "Automa" gains window tiles, they are placed in the hotel area of the "Automa's" hotel board according to the rules described later.
- When the player's victory points reach 8 or more, the "Automa" gains a third worker die. This additional worker die is used starting from the next round.
Placement of Window Tiles for "Automa"
When the "Automa" gains a window tile, place it in the hotel area of the "Automa's" hotel board according to the priority order listed on the back of the "Solo Action Deck":
- If the player has already placed a window tile in their hotel area at a specific position, place the window tile in the same position on the "Automa's" hotel board.
- Otherwise, place the window tile starting from the central position of the hotel area and follow the direction of the arrows.
Solo Action Cards
Solo action cards are divided into an upper section and a lower section.
When revealing a solo action card, first resolve the effect in the upper section. The effect in the upper section always involves placing one of the "Automa's" worker dice in a specified action space. After resolving the upper section, proceed to the lower section. The lower section itself is divided into an upper part and a lower part. If it is currently the "LOW SEASON" (rounds 1-4), resolve the effect in the upper part. If it is "HIGH SEASON" or later (rounds 5-8), resolve the effect in the lower part.
The effects in the lower section involve gaining specified icons or other instructions. Follow these instructions accordingly.
Solo Event Cards
When the "Automa" gains an event card, it does not draw from the regular event deck but instead draws from the "Solo Event Deck".
When drawing a solo event card from the "Solo Event Deck", reveal it and place it face up near the "Automa's" hotel board. Then, resolve the effect of the revealed solo event card.
Some solo event cards have effects that refer to the current round number. In such cases, resolve the effects according to the current round number.
Round Cards and Goal Cards Effects
During the game, there may be instances where the effects of round cards or goal cards require comparing the number of resources held by the "Automa" and the player. In such cases, assume the "Automa" has the following resources for the comparison with the player:
- Snow: Twice the number of window tiles placed in the hotel area of the "Automa's" hotel board.
- Croissant: Equal to the number of window tiles placed in the hotel area of the "Automa's" hotel board.
- Ticket: Equal to the number of guest cards and VIP cards placed in the guest rooms and checkout area of the "Automa's" hotel board.
- Like: Equal to the number of window tiles placed in the hotel area of the "Automa's" hotel board.
- The number of event cards played in your play area : The number of face-up solo event cards near the "Automa's" hotel board.
- The number of event cards with a blue cost played in your play area : The number of face-up solo event cards near the "Automa's" hotel board.
- The total value of the dice : 12
End Game
The game ends and scoring is conducted after the "(g) Cleaning Phase" of the 8th round, just as in the standard rules.
Scoring is also performed according to the standard rules. Based on the total victory points earned, players receive the following titles. If you manage to earn the "President" title with all 10 talent cards, you have cleared the solo rules.
| VP | ~50 | 51~70 | 71~99 | 100~ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Title | Intern | Chief | Manager | President |
Exceptional Rules when playing with 2 players
When playing this game with two players, you can introduce the solo action cards and solo event cards used in the solo rules to simulate a three-player game. If you use this rule, follow the instructions below:
- When distributing the opening guest cards during "Game Setup: Player Setup: 17, 18", take the same number of opening guest cards as the number of players, keep them face down, and shuffle them. Then, distribute one card to each player, including the "Automa" and the two players. After that, place the round tiles on the turn order track according to the number in the top left corner of the opening guest cards.

Talent Cards
During game setup, each player selects one talent card and starts the game with a unique ability. The effect on the left side of the talent card is usable from the beginning of the game. The effect on the right side of the talent card becomes usable immediately after fulfilling the listed condition. This condition only refers to the placement of window tiles on your hotel board and does not consider the color of the window tiles.
In the following explanations, the effect on the left side is referred to as 1, and the effect on the right side is referred to as 2.
INFLUENCER
- During the (d) payment phase, if all guest rooms on your hotel board are occupied, you may advance the promotion track by 1.
- Each time you advance the promotion track, you gain 1 ticket and 1 victory point. This effect applies even if you advance the promotion track through the effect of 1. Additionally, this effect is resolved for each action or bonus separately (e.g., if you advance the promotion track by 6 at once, the effect of 2 is applied only once. However, if you advance the promotion track through the effects of three guest cards, the effect of 2 is applied three times).
CRAFTMANSHIP
- During the (d) payment phase, if a guest card or VIP card is placed on DAY 2 or DAY 3, you gain 1 snow.
- Each time you gain snow, you gain 1 additional croissant and 1 victory point. This effect applies even if you gain snow through the effect of 1. Additionally, this effect is resolved for each action or bonus separately (e.g., if you gain 5 snow at once, the effect of 2 is applied only once. However, if you gain snow through the effects of three guest cards, the effect of 2 is applied three times).
HARDWORKER
- During the (g) cleaning phase, if a guest card or VIP card is placed on DAY 2 or DAY 3, you gain 1 croissant.
- Each time you gain snow or croissant, you gain 1 victory point. This effect applies even if you gain croissant through the effect of 1. Additionally, this effect is processed for each action or bonus separately (e.g., if you gain 5 croissant at once, the effect of 2 is applied only once. However, if you gain croissant through the effects of three guest cards, the effect of 2 is applied three times).
LEADERSHIP
- When using a free action to increase the value of a worker die or part-time job die to 4 or higher, the required ticket is reduced by 1.
- When using a free action to increase the value of a part-time job die, you gain 1 victory point for each increase. Additionally, when you increase the value of a worker die or part-time job die to 6 using a free action, you gain 3 victory points.
PRUDENCE
- At the start of the game, gain 1 croissant and 1 ticket, and advance the promotion track by 1.
- When the condition is met, immediately select 3 goal cards from those returned to the box during the setup phase (Game Setup: Main Area Setup: 9) and add them to your hand. You can play goal cards from your hand to your play area according to the usual rules. Note that only a total of 3 goal cards can be played by all players combined. Additionally, if your goal card ranks first at the end of the game, you gain 3 victory points for each such card.
SOCIABILITY
- When obtaining a guest card, you can always choose from the "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6" of the station.
- Each time you obtain a guest card, you gain 1 victory point. This effect is resolved for each guest card (e.g., if you obtain 2 guest cards at once, the effect of 2 is applied twice). Additionally, when you obtain a guest card, after receiving the reward for DAY 1, you can immediately move it to the checkout area. This effect can be applied even if all guest rooms are occupied.
ENTREPRENEUR
- During the (d) payment phase, if you have 3 or more event cards or goal cards played in your play area, you gain 1 croissant. If you have 6 or more event cards or goal cards played in your play area, you gain an additional 1 snow.
- During the game, each time you play an event card or goal card in your play area, draw 1 card from the event deck and add it to your hand, and gain 1 victory point.
HOSPITALITY
- During the (c) resolution phase, if it is currently the LOW SEASON, you can gain that effect once more.
- During the (d) payment phase, you gain 1 victory point for each type of VIP card placed in guest rooms.
DIGITAL NOMAD
- At the start of the game, gain the third worker die placed near the slope board. This allows you to start the game with three worker dice. This player does not gain an additional worker die when they earn 8 or more victory points.
- Each time you obtain a project card, you gain 3 victory points. This effect applies only when you obtain the project card and does not apply when placing dice on a project card.
LOCAL RIDER
- As a free action, you can return 3 snow from your hand to the stock to gain 1 window tile.
- Each time you return snow to the stock, you gain 1 victory point. This effect applies even if you return snow to the stock through the effect of 1. Additionally, this effect is resolved for each action separately (e.g., if you return 6 snow to the stock at once, the effect of 2 is applied only once).
