Idea and Object of the Game
The players are in a fast-paced competition: Each player has his own Disc and a set of Task Cards. The Task Cards show the target or task to be completed. The player flicks the disc, trying to reach an Action Field. Each field has a certain ability that can be used by the players. The winner is the first person who has completed his 8 Task Cards, has collected exactly 2 of each color Gem and flicks his Disc onto the Start Field.
For 2-6 players, ages 6 and up.
Components
- 6 Discs
- 48 Task Cards (6 Sets of 8 Task Cards)
- 1 Wall Stick
- 12 White Bonus Cubes
- 4 Square Obstacles
- 1 Game Board
- 8 Corner Brackets
- 4 Side Brackets
- 36 Gems (12 each in the colors green, blue, gold)
- 1 Shelf
Game Preparation
Before the first game, punch the parts from the frame.
Assemble the playing arena by inserting the Shelf and attaching the corner brackets, following the numbered steps 1 to 9 in the source illustrations (the steps are images only; see the source note above). The source marks the Start Field, the Blue Box with Gems and Bonus Cubes, and the Action Fields on the board.
- Place the Gems and Bonus Cubes in the Blue Box in the middle of the arena. It serves as an additional obstacle and as a storage container.
- The Wall Stick is placed so that one end touches flush any side wall (see illustration).
- Distribute the four Square Obstacles on the board. They may not be placed on an Action Field at the beginning.
- Each player receives the 8 Task Cards matching the color of his Disc, shuffles them and puts them in a stack face down in his area. Now all players reveal the top card of their stack to show each player's first task.
- The youngest player places his Disc on the Start Field arrow and begins.
Game Play
On your turn, perform the following actions in the following order:
- Flick your Disc.
- Complete a Task Card and reveal new Task Card.
- Activate Action Field if your Disc touches it.
Then it is the next player's turn in clockwise order.
1. Flick Your Disc
- The player flicks his Disc. He decides which finger to use, but he must flick the disc, not push it.
- Note: In the first round, before his turn, the player places his Disc on the arrow in the grey Start Field.
- In later rounds, he flicks the disc from its current position.
- If a disc is near a disc or the wall, the player may move it slightly in order to flick it better.
- The player may only touch his Disc on his turn.
2. Complete a Task Card and Reveal New Task Card
- If there is a colored disc shown on the Task Card, the player must hit the target disc with his Disc.
- If an Action Field is shown on the Task Card, the player must land his Disc so that, at the end of his turn, the Disc is on the Action Field or at least touches it on the edge.
Important: Task Cards can only be completed during the player's turn, after he has flicked the Disc.
- Fulfilled Task Cards are placed in the box. If the player does not have a face up Task Card in front of him, he reveals the next card on his stack.
- If the player does not complete the task, he can try again on his next turn.
3. Activate Action Field if Your Disc Touches It
If the player's Disc ends on an Action Field or on the border of it, the player must perform the corresponding action.
Action Fields
The following are the Action Fields. The source shows each field's icon as an image; the descriptions are given in the source's order.
Action Field 1
The player uncovers another Task Card and now has two tasks he can perform in any order. If his Disc lands again on the field in another turn, he reveals a third Task Card, etc.
Action Field 2
The player takes a Bonus Cube from the Blue Box and places it in front of him. At any time, he can use this Bonus Cube during one of his turns, immediately returning the Cube to the Blue Box. It is allowed to use the Bonus Cube on the same turn in which he gained it. Place the Bonus Cube back in the Blue Box when used. Up to two Bonus Cubes can be used in one turn.
Action Field 3
The player takes the wall stick and places it so that one end of the stick touches any side wall with the edge (in other words, the stick must be perpendicular to the wall when placed). It may not be placed so that discs and other obstacles are moved or covered.
Action Field 4
The player must place one of his Gems back in the Blue Box. If he has no Gems, he loses nothing.
Tip: If a player has too many Gems of one color, he can get rid of them before the end of the game.
Action Field 5 (Corner Action Field)
The player takes a Gem matching the color of the corner Action Field from the Blue Box. If the Disc touches the small circle, the player receives two Gems instead.
Start Field
During the game, when a disc lands on the Start Field, nothing happens. This field is also the end field: To end the game, a player must flick his Disc to this field after he has completed all 8 tasks and has exactly two of each Gem.
If a disc flies out of the arena, it is placed by the owner in the Start Field. If multiple players are involved, start with the current player. The other players follow clockwise.
Game End
If a player has fulfilled his 8 Task Cards and has exactly two Gems of each color, he must land his Disc on the Start Field. If after his turn, a player's Disc is on the Start Field or touching the edge, he wins the game if he has completed all 8 tasks and has exactly two Gems of each color.
Other Rules
- If a disc is on an Action Field and lands on it again in the same turn, the action is not carried out. The disc must leave the Action Field for at least one turn.
- When a player has completed all 8 Task Cards and has exactly two of each Gem, if he flicks his Disc out of the arena, he starts from the Start Field on his next turn and must flick his Disc off the Start Field before flicking it back on to the Start Field. This costs him two turns: 1. flicking the Disc off the Start Field and 2. flicking it back onto the Start Field again.
- If a disc lands on its edge, it is tipped over by its owner on the spot so it lays flat. If it lands on an Action Field, the action is executed.
- If a disc lands on an obstacle, it stays there. If it is still there at the beginning of the next turn, he flicks it from there.
- Should it happen that a player lands on an Action Field to collect a Bonus Cube or Gem and there are no more in the Blue Box, he may take them from another player.
- By the way: There is no disadvantage in the first round for those early players having a Task Card showing a disc that is not already in the arena. He can attempt to get a Gem or land, for example, on the Action Field that provides a Bonus Cube.
